This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Here’s a project. It sounds like it doesn’t have an engine, tranny or tc.
“1953 Willy’s High Hood Jeep. Tub only, differentials, tires, wheels, roll cage, 2 gas cans and mounts. Tub is in great condition. A rare find. Will trade for 3/4 ton pickup, Quad, Polaris Ranger, or Yamaha Rhino.”

Here’s a CJ-5 with the Jeepster/commando grille conversion.

Here’s a very early VEC! VIN#11435
“Here we have a highly sought after 1945 Willys CJ2A for parts or restore. Serial number is 11435. Frame, firewall, and dash tags are all there and in good shape. ACM numbers on toe board and tail gate are both 1583. Jeep comes with a clean WI title (VIN #11435). It’s generally pretty ruff and will take quite a bit to restore but has a lot of hard to find 1945 CJ2A parts on it.”

“A great hobbyist project. Garaged for 20 years. Complete roll cage, telescopic steering wheel, new shocks, new springs, 350 Chevy engine, muncie 4 speed, all 4 disc brakes, custom aluminum gas tank, 90% rust removed, frame reinforced, swamp tires (12 inch wide).”

Rear Axel – Dana 44, welded, 5:38:1 gear ratio. Air cushion attached. Drum brakes. Front Axel – Dana 44, with Lockrite, 5:38:1 gear ratio. New 19 spline shafts with new splicer yokes”
