Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep VIN/Serial 72467. What we have up for grabs here is a “Hot Rod” (or perhaps it is best described as a “Resto-Mod Version” thereof)! You see, the JEEP RUNS GREAT WITH NO PROBLEMS thanks to the “fire breathing” Chevy 4.3 Liter V-6 (out of a Monte Carlo 1985). And the hot little motor has just been fully and freshly tuned (with less than 50 miles on it). So yeah she runs like a top and I have “Clear Title” in hand so she really is ready to go! ….. This price includes an overdrive and a full cage. Looks like a solid buy, even if just a parts jeep.
“I have a last year Willys CJ5 in good shape but has beem parked inside for the last few years. Needs a little work / cleanup. Has Holley 500CFM 2 bl that needs bowl gaskets. Has a Ford 289, crossover power stearing and tilt column. about 2 inch lift and roll cage. 3 spd with Warn Overdrive. Will have pictures in a few days. Offers or trades possible for guns, tools or Ranger / Bronco II stuff. Comes with differant tires, excellent 31 x 10.50 x 15 on chrome spokes.”

“1943 Willys Jeep MB model. Original flat head 4 cylinder Willys engine. Misc parts and repair manual. This vehicle ran until the clutch went out, new clutch partially installed. This vehicle is a great project vehicle. Jeep doesn’t have a gas tank. This was an old Navy jeep. Still has the original blackout lights except for the headlight. This is great for the serious restorer.”

(02/18/2010) Brett forward me a link that lead me to several items from KSL’s website (in salt lake city), here’s a ’46 that appears pretty solid. This is located in Eastern Idaho. Note there’s another jeep next to the one for sale, but no indication as to whether that’s for sale or not.”

“1963 Willys jeep, 4 cyl GO-DEVIL engine, 4WD, Standard, Brush guard with light rack, winch mounted on removable boom ( to raise deer for field dressing) with lights for after dark cleaning, removable front basket to hold deer, seats moved back and lowered, removable roll bar, removable high seat, 3 receiver hitches at rear 1 up front removable air drive feeder, 6 gun racks, 1 bow rack, extra springs in rear suspension, tires slimmed, gas tank relocated to frame, have Title, runs good $2800 or cash and guns?”

(07/13/09) There’s been a variety of updates done to this including reversed SOA (spring over axle) springs in the front. It looks like it might be SOA in the back, too.
“Very nice highhood needs some work to be ready to street or trail drive agian i jeeped it for a year then started fixing many things took blazer springs off moved front 3 inchs forward put dodge spring over front and rear fixed shock mounts daul shock all around fixed and replaced brake lines rear wheel cylinders new master cylinder micro lock fixed steering colume tilt new mounting brackets new steering arm all new body and spring bushings has dana 44s front and rear powerlock rear 427 gears detroit locker front new drive lines front rear has pro car seats full cage comes with used fulltop has exellent running 327 V8 just built custom headers for it and had them ceramic coated cast iron t-10 4 speed and cast iron bell housing i took tank under seat out and has a 12 gallon tank under rear i took out was going to build a bigger one fixed winch mount and front bumper has a fairly new 8274 put new electronic distribator and value covers and air cleaner on it has a great working q jet carb on it works nice on hills i got a willys grill and hood that go with it jeep still needs alittle work to get back on road if i repaint it and get back driving i want 12500 take way it is now 10000 firm”
