It looks pretty stock and unmolested. I can’t tell if there is rust around the step or not.
“1949 Wills Jeep. Running ready to go. It has a 2.5 Chevy engine in it with a four barrel carb and header. The cool thing is it could have a small block chevy bolted right in. Needs to have the brakes bled then it could be driven home. I do have some 35 inch tires for it, but they would be extra. The hard top does have doors they just are not on it .”
This is a project!
“I have a ’47 or ’48 Willys CJ2A Jeep flat fender, rolling chassis (no motor). Purchased as a project but I have too many projects and no time so this needs to go. Body tub has rust but could be salvaged, frame is straight, has transmission, transfer case, 4 tires & rims, grill, fenders and additional parts I can’t remember. There is no title but a bill of sale will be provided. Asking $500 OBO”
The paint job appears unusual, but the drive train has been rebuilt.
“Rust free, runs great! 32,000 actual miles on vehicle however, motor transmission and transfer case completely rebuilt has approx. 500 miles. 8,000 lb. pto winch, still 24 volt ignition (water proof). Military canvas seats, includes rear seat. Newer military canvas top. Locking rear differential and warn front lock out hubs. For more info call only! $6500 B.O. Paul 952-472-1046. Leave message if no answer.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $2200
For those that don’t like to do body work, this might make a good restoration option.

There are a variety of updates on this jeep. I believe the grille and the body are from a MB or GPW.

The seller promises that when they bought it, they were told it ran …..
“Im selling my winter project. Its a 1955 Willys Pickup with 4×4. It has a twin stick transfer case to control front and rear axles independently. I have a clear title for the Willys. It does turn over and I was told it ran when I bought it in December but I have a lot of work right now and can’t let this sit around gathering dust. The gas tank needs repaired/ replaced and otherwise it should be a good runner. All glass is good, windows even roll up and down. Does have rust, came from North Carolina.”
