1958 CJ-5 Spokane, Wa $2200 w/OD

• CATEGORIES: CJ5 This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

The seller refers to this as a project, but then says this runs and drives great.  Given this has a Warn OD, this looks to be a great price.

“It has a 231 buick v6, stock 3 speed trans, Warn overdrive on transfer case. Body is in good condition, has carpet kit in all of tub. Diamond plate rockers and side armor. Good deal, I have too many projects and cant get to this. Runs and drives great. Call me David (509) 590-7764”

UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was listed at $3000.

Craig has this FJ for sale.  It appears he collects and/or photographs a variety of ice cream related vehicles.  Check out all his pics on Flickr.

Craig writes, “I have a 1964 Jeep Willys FJ6 Fleetvan that I’m selling if anyone is interested. It’s an original 1964 Kaiser Jeep FJ-6 postal truck, or fleetvan. Was used as an ice cream truck but has been sitting for a few years…”

Here’s an image of a truck from Craigs portfolio that’s not for sale and is not a jeep of any kind, but is an unusual ice cream truck.

EarlyMB.com — has moved

• CATEGORIES: International, Website This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

1942_mb_davidUPDATE: David wrote to tell me he is moving his website to earlymb.webs.com. So update your bookmarks.  His move is a result of the geocities shutdown.

The earlymb.com website snuck up on me.  I didn’t think there was much here, but the more I dug, the more I found.  There’s an extensive book list, link list, a list on the differences between a GPW and MB, a list on the differences between an MB and a Hotchkiss M201, pics and more.

The website’s owner, David appears to live in the Netherlands. He shows many pics from a jeep he restored, but it doesn’t appear to be the same jeep that’s on the front page.

I tested a few of the links for the list of links, and at least some were out of date.

Builds: 1951 CJ-3A Off of Pirate 4×4

• CATEGORIES: Builds This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

I found this build through Usenet of all places (long story) on Pirate 4×4.  What I liked about it was that this body was pretty much toast, but the builder has done a nice job of resurrecting it for his project.  Below is a picture of his replacement hat channels and replacement of the triangle piece at the front of the body.

There’s plenty of pics and plenty of customization. It’s definitely a project still.
