This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1948 Willys Jeep CJ2 in non running condition. Could restore or make a parts Jeep. Odometer shows 26626 miles, true milage unknown by me. I purchased as a project and never did get to it. Body and frame seem decent, the floor of the rear area is rusted through as seen in picture. Unique cab style. Has 540 PTO on rear. I do have the seat frame for it but not upholstered. Will have to be hauled or trailored. I live near Dixon IL 61021. Can either use PayPal or pay cash when picked up.”

“1947 willys cj2a flat finder, restored, in very nice shape no rust paint is good, almost new top with soft doors, all stock and original running gear with hurricane 4 cylinder, manual trans with stock t-case runs and drives awsome, good tires spare gas cans, good best top seats and back seat, original dash with steering column, 3500obo make me a offer need to sell asap.”
It looks like there’s been some changes to the floor boards — probably rusted out and were replaced.
“We are selling our 1950 CJ-3A. We have used this Jeep to explore many trails in Oklahoma and Arkansas. The Jeep is nearly origional with only bolt on accessories and could easily be restored to origional condition if desired. The body is in very good shape with only a little panel straightening needed. I haven’t found any rust on the Jeep except for the hat channels which have been strengthened, but would require new for restoration. This CJ is very solid….”
