Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Looks like a great rebuild. Owner says must sell.
” 1945 Willys MB. Has rust where the under body support channels meet the inside vertical support forward of the driver and passenger. Also on one side under the tool box behind the fender well. To much work done to list.”

These are both pretty rough. Neither runs.
” I have two Willys CJ2As. I was going to make one,but i don’t have the time or space. The 47 has a hard top with doors, the glass is good in the top but not in the doors or windshield. It is all stock with a Koenig PTO winch. The 48 is less together but it seems to all be there. It has 33X12.50 15 mud tires with 70%or 80% tread. Both have titles. Neither of them are running at this time. These are up for auction together.”

Here’s a running CJ-3A for only $1000. Yeah, looks like it needs some work.
“for sale is my 1950 willys jeep this is a great old jeep that runs and drives very good has brand new military tires tires are $500 alone the jeep does need some brake work”
This is a nice looking CJ-3A.
“Willys is in good shape with great running motor. Motor has Willys stamp on head, however I’m not sure if it is the original. Has an aftermarket carb, I do have original for new owner to install. Drives great and idles fine. Shifts smooth through all gears. Good power for a small flat four. Electrical has been converted to 12 volt by a past owner. Everything seems original except for the hood. I think that is an aftermarket steel hood with the Willys logo painted on. Small leak coming from front seal on the diff. Nothing major. No other leaks or issues…..”
I don’t know how rare these are, but I thought I’d post them in case anyone was interested.

It’s a nice looking MB, but I think the claim that this is a better investment than your 401k is a bit over the top.

“Here is what I believe to be a Willys MB Military Jeep. If you know for sure let me know. The CHP paperwork from the previous owner has it as a Ford GPW, but it has the tube in the front, behind the radiator, so I am not sure. If you would like to see it please contact me through eBay. It has no VIN, this is the assigned numbder: ca948072.”
