Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Body: Military tub, chrome military grill, CJ-3A one pane windshield, Willys hood, Bestop California issued VIN, Kentucky title. Suspension: 2.5 lift long leaf springs. Soft ride and very good off-road. Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks. 15×10″ Mag Wheels 33×12.5″ Mickey Thompson Baja-Claw tires.
Front Differential: Dana 30, Warn Hubs, 3.73 gears, Chrome-Moly axels, E-Locker differential, electric so you can turn it off and on with a switch from the driver’s seat. (front lockers do effect steering). Rear Differential: 3.73 gears, Detroit Locker, Chrome-moly Flanged axles. Roll cage: full family type. Brakes: Wilwood disc brakes front, rear and Master-cylinder. Engine: 327 bored .030″ Alu. heads, mild Hydraulic roller cam, AA Headers, Edelbrock. Transmission: BW alu. This jeep has an unusual paint job. The body appears pretty solid.

“1947 Willys CJ-2a I bought this in 2015 with rebuilt engine, frame and tub that was sandblasted, repaired, and painted. I added some M38 elements and some items for convenience but kept true to the original. Driven frequently. 2,242 miles since engine rebuild/restoration.

Parts or project jeep.
“WWII 1943 Ford GPW, Serial # 108332. Comes with a CJ2A engine (condition unknown, not pictured)), Ford GPW transmission and transfer case (not pictured), 3 combat rims. Lots of F parts. This is a restoration project. A square hole was cut out of the hood, I have two sheet metal pieces to weld in….other than that, the hood is really nice. Ford GWP’s and WWII Jeeps in general are becoming harder to find $5500 or OBO”

“1954 willys, comes with almost everything to make it a running driving vehicle. Started the project and lost interest. Tub is perfect and the holes for the pedals were never even drilled. Very solid start for a build. Comes with the “winter top” and four galvanized 16 inch wheels.”

“1951 Willys JeepCJ3A nearly in original condition. Original 4 cylinder engine is strong, starts easy and runs real well. Solid body. New wiring harness that includes turn signal lights has been installed. A new speedometer/odometer was installed along with a new fuel gauge. New front springs and four new shock absorbers have been installed. Lap belts added. Four wheel drive operates well. There are locking hubs. New York registration and inspection are current. Clear title. This vehicle is an eye catcher and fun to drive.”
