Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I picked this November 1960 Koenig King Winch brochure with a from number of 11-60 off of ebay.
Andy shared this rarely seen US Navy Smalley Port-O-Spot. It’s another odd utility vehicle partly built with Willys-Overland parts. Only a couple hours left in the bidding; the high bid is currently $3100.
“Made by Oxnard Heavy Maintenance & Mfg Co. Oxnard California. It has a Willys drivetrain, and it does run and drive.”
Looks like a good price.

“Pull up with this at your next party. Built from the shell of an old postal jeep. 18 ga steel welded in the cargo area(back) and sealed and all shelves (2) are on rollers so they pull out. Side back windows have shelf to keep things warm. Under the hood you have a 36″ flat top griddle for cooking. I built a fire box that only uses wood or charcoal. I used only hickory wood. Smoker is mounted on a trailer for easy towing. All lights on jeep except headlights work as they should .”
This includes a bed extender, rear PTO, and drum pulley.

“1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A Farm Model, 2nd owner, Owned for last 25 years, Always garaged, never rained on. 58880 original miles, Frame and underbody cleaned & painted, exterior painted olive green, new: windshield frame & glass, seats, gas tank, tail gate, 5 new tires, battery, gauges, brakes and shocks. original heater that works, very rare 2 foot bed extension (pictured). Farm model has factory PTO (pictured). Has a gear box that mounts on PTO to run an 8 inch belt (pictured). Motor has never been redone and runs and drives as new. Has the original sears lockout hubs. Excellent top by Best Top. Have the original owners manual. Title in my name”
UPDATE: **SOLD* Was $20k.
“1953 Willys Wagon 4×2 for sale. I purchased it from the 2nd or 3rd owner some time back. Vehicle has been stored inside. Looks like original paint except for the white panels. The history was that the Waggy was used as a shuttle/delivery vehicle and the white paint was applied to cover the company logo that was painted on the sides. You can still see the “logo” image when looking from certain angles in the sun. No rust that I can see, vehicle seems to be very original. 6 cylinder engine with 3 speed on the column transmission. Sliding side glass for rear seats. Manual choke and all functional electronics”
I believe this has a Kelly Custom 300 Series CJ-6 top, but I don’t have a specific pic of that top with the model number.

“RARE jeep, the older sister to the cj-8 scrambler, this is the CJ-6. (extended version of the cj5) While technically there were 6,000 more cj8’s made, nearly 50% of the cj-6s were exported, and then quite a few of them were sent to the forest service and eventually destroyed. This one even has a rare hard top and only has 64k original miles. She’s powered by the mighty Buick Dauntless V6 and 3speed manual transmission. This jeep runs great and drives well, however the brakes need some attention. There’s no leak, but it’s time for new shoes and some adjustment.”
Is that some kind of lift/fork-lift/press on the front of the CJ-2A?

Mike’s selling this nice looking Tuxedo Park IV. It includes a beautiful example of a Kelly Safari Hardtop, complete with the soft-top sections and one of the best examples of that top that I’ve seen. This jeep was listed on Bat (with lots of pics) and other sites, including Craigslist. The body has been restored in some places and patched on the front floors.
