Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It’s been a while since I’ve listed one of these: a rare Alaskan Postal CJ-8 Scrambler. It’s estimated there are around 50 of these left.
“1984 cj8 scrambler Alaskan postal Jeep. Original power train, 4.2l, tf999 automatic transmission, 3 inch lift with newer 33 in tires, right hand drive. Less than 350 of these were made for the Alaskan postal services. May consider trades.”

“1946 Willys 2a, looks rough but has good bones on it. Has a 283 corvette motor with 350 heads, edelbrock intake and holly carb, and headers. Sm420 4speed with granny gear barely used maybe 1000 miles on it. Obviously its a project and needs a lot of work. Have lots of extra part, comes with a custom top, a half shell, a pto winch that came with it. The motor turned when it was parked 10 years ago. Its been in the family for 25 years and hate to get rid of it. I have the title and its on an upnto date non op.”

The headlight bezels might hit at this being a CJ-V35U, but it also is a pretty big mish-mash of parts. There must be a good story behind this creation. Unfortunately, there is no description provided.

The other day I replaced an old antique yoke the previous owner had hung over the shop door with this eWillys sign. The sign was given to me back in 2013 by the Spring Willys Reunion committee, along with a Toledo Brick award, as a thanks for my work with eWillys. It’s hard to believe that that event was nine years ago!
Now that I have additional wall space in the shop, if anyone has some vintage jeep signs that you just don’t know what to do with them, drop me a note at d@deilers.com and maybe we can work something out.
I missed out on winning this brochure on eBay. Though stamped “1960”, the early grille plus the Willys-Overland branding on the brochure suggests Mil-Ner’s ambulance modifications may have been one of the earliest example of the Jeep being turned into an ambulance.
There is only printing on the front of the page. The back was blank.
