Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $13,500.
The steps have been modified, as has the dash, fenders, and tailgate. This has later model running gear. Could be a good build for jeeping. This also has Cutlas Bulldog hubs.
“Up for sale is a 1953 Jeep Willys CJ3B Flat Top Fender
This Willys is in really nice shape to do whatever you wish to it. Do some rock crawling or just have it to drive it.
Has been converted over to a Ford 289 V8 with original T-90 3 speed transmission. Has plenty of power. Runs on Highway at 75mph with no issues or wobbling and low range works perfect. Everything works as it should.
Frame is absolutely in perfectly clean shape with no rust on it. Tub is in perfect condition with no rust holes or spot repairs at all.
Brakes have been redone and new hydraulic boost added.
New Dunlop mud tires
New fuel pump
Dual factory tanks
Runs and drives.

This CJ-5 has a “panic button” installed on the dash. But, what really caught my eye, was the unusual bumper. Dualmatic made bumpers at one point. I wonder if this was one model?

I bought this jeep from an old man, and I am certain it never spent a night outside. the windows are clear and not faded, no imperfections anywhere, Its like new. This has an early 2A tag. Unclear how much early 2A is still here, but it does have an early windshield.

Frame is solid! Dana 25 front and Dana 41 rear axles both spin, along with drive shafts. Transfer case shifts (front axle can engage), but needs a rebuild. Original engine seized, transmission doesn’t shift.
Frame was modified for an attachment like a plow at some point.

Includes Dana axles, driveshafts, everything pictured. Will also include everything that came off the engine (generator, fan, water pump, head, etc).”
UPDATE: Still Available, though price has been bumped. It was listed as a 1946, but is now listed as a 1945. It does have rear hubs.
