About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“This is a 1946 BantamT3-C trailer sold through Willys Jeep dealerships.
The good; Original combat rims. They have been media blasted and powder coated.
Original VIN tag with proper Bantam ownership in my name.
The bad;
It is in very rough shape. It looks like someone moved it with a bulldozer.
This trailer needs a trailer to pick it up. IT IS NOT towable.
Best offers considered, but only in person.
Phone calls only, and not after 8pm. Mention this ad and I’ll return your call.
Text and emails will be ignored.”
“This CJ-2a has a clean NYS transferable registration in my name
For sale is a 1948 CJ-2a. The frame is absolutely solid, you can take a hammer to any section
The body is somewhat rough on the outside but nothing huge. Small patches here and there
The inside cargo area is solid. Someone added 1/8″ plate to the wheel wells and floor
The front might need floor pans but they could be saved
The rear end is a CENTER dana 44 from a 1973 CJ-5, rare and desirable. Will also come with a torn down dana 30 from same Jeep
There is current no engine or transmission. The engine mounts were cut off and it was going to get a chevy 350 installed but plans have changed
Comes with 5 white wagon wheels 5×5.5 pattern”
“1948 jeep willys cj2a for sale. “Go devil” 4 cylinder t90 3 speed trans and d18 twin stick transfer case. Runs and drives. 90% original and restored. 12 volt conversion. $7600 or possible trade for wrangler with solid frame and fuel injection.”
“1946 Willys CJ for sale. Body is from a 2A but the windshield is off of a 3A. Body is currently separated from the frame. Frame is in good shape. Body could use some TLC.
Also have F+R Dana 44 off of a late 70’s CJ with disc brakes up front. Will sell them separately or as a package
This jeep is listed at $18,500, but I prefer to think that is either a 1) mistake or 2) random price. It’s listed as a 1947 CJ-2A, but lacking top bow brackets and sporting a 3A windshield, could be a CJ-3A.
“1947 Jeep Willys, CJ 2A, CJ2

On November 18, 1951, the Times (Shreveport, LA) welcomed the new Hy-Rail Jeep Wagon to the Kansas City Souther-Louisiana and Arkansas railroad. The article provides quite a few details on the vehicle and how it operates.
As this September 26, 1952, article in the Courier Journal (Louisville, KY) points out, by the autumn of 1952 there were 35 Hy-Rail jeeps operating on 21 railroads throughout the US.
UPDATE: In late September and early October of 1952, the press photo at bottom, along with the caption seen in the newspaper clipping below, appeared in newspapers across the country. However, I could not locate any associated story. There’s no mention of it being a Hy-Rail.
