This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: I found an inexpensive issue of the February 2, 1946 Collier’s Magazine, so I scanned the cover. It has the Welcome Home Johnny sign celebrating’s soldiers homecoming as a farmer races his jeep down the road. I found no jeep related stuff on the inside.
This has a fiberglass tub and a rear gas tank with the filler in the middle of the back.

“Selling my 48 Willys jeep. It is an older restoration with fiberglass tub. Runs great and everything works. All gauges function and has an electric fuel pump to keep it running smooth. Fun toy to go anywhere this summer. Ride it like a sXs with the ability to go down any road. Only flaw is cracks in the glass.”
This has a couple mods and some patches along the front frame rails (well, driver’s side anyway).

“Sweet 47 CJ2A ….. needs 2nd/3rd gear sincro, power steering conversion run like a top I have sincro and seal kit for transmission. New tires. 12v conversion, rust free, sweet summer ride. Sat in garage this winter started up great, I did have to pump gas a few times but took it for spin last weekend. Fixing transmission this week.”

(03/26/21) To me, the jeep doesn’t look Fiesta Yellow, but it may just be the photos. The jeep looks solid.

“This is a 1948 CJ2A Willy’s Jeep in original color Fiesta yellow. It has the original “L” in line 4 cylinder engine with over drive and oil bath air cleaner. Still has 6 volt system and installed seat belts and turn signals. Top speed 35 mph with overdrive engaged, but it climbs like no other. Runs like a swiss clock and DOES NOT burn any oil. Items included; spare tire, tow bar and signal lights, cargo rack with tool box, spare tire mount and 2 jerry can mounts jerry cans not included. Also included is a fully enclosed canvas vinyal top with doors to include the bikini top in the pics. The oil pan does leak some but any vehicle that’s 73 years old does. Replacing the gasket is the fix.”
This is listed as a 1951, but it has a CJ-2A body.

“1957 Willys truck. Clear Maryland title. This lived its life on a farm near Westminster, Maryland. This was a project that stalled. I need the space in my shop. Please read carefully and review photos (all photos and a full description can be seen here) before asking questions.
This is a project for someone with the right skills. There is alot of value here and the greasy, tetanus inducing, bolt shearing, soul killing horrible cleanup was done for you. It is not a project I will put any work into; it comes as is, where is, no warrantees implied or offered. Cash is the only payment I will take. Reasonable offers entertained. I do not want more stuff, so please do not offer your 1995 Honda, jet ski, Chevy truck project, yard trailer etc… as a trade. I am not interested.”
