About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
1948 Jeep CJ2-A. Clean title in hand. New Willys tub/body, New Willys stamped windshield frame, New Willys stamped tailgate, New Willys stamped hood. Headlight buckets. Front grille assembly. No wiring harness. Engine turns over and spins freely. Frame is solid and in great shape. Easy project!!
226 4WD, floors looks pretty solid. Looks like it had a plow on it, pump is still there.
Ok so Rabbit Hole of the day, since this rig pops up in Catawissa, PA if you want to search up Catawissa Hooded Graves there is an interesting back story to a few graves in the Old Mt Zion Cemetery over there. Back in the early 1850’s there were some issues with illegal removal of remains from Cemeteries for medical research, so Mortsafes were erected around several graves. There of course are other more interesting theories surrounding the cages that cover some of the graves. I have worked out in Catawissa a few times and like the saying goes “I spent a week there one night”. Also its right down the road from Knobles a well known and loved local amusement park that is super Family Friendly and just a really neat place to go visit.
So go grab a Willys in Catawissa, catch up on some local History at the Cemetery, and swing by Knobles and that’s a pretty good little road trip.
Information from seller:
1955 Willys truck. Engine runs and brakes work but will need adjusted. Extremely nice condition for a 70 year old truck possibly the original 6 cylinder engine. Technical Articles
Vintage Jeeper covers Pinion Seals.
Looking over this one I now see why the re-pop pinion seals are IMO trash and have a metal lip to them, they look to be supplied that way on some Dana 18 stuff, I have tried these and they are horrible.
This article would have saved me a lot of headache when I was rebuilding my one unit and I had purchased one of the re-pop seals and it just did not work at all, I moved to a very similar seal that Sal covers the ins and out on this.
This is really a time saver if you are thinking of tackling you Pinion Seal, review this one prior.
Historical Articles
Willys MA
If you want to dig deep into the Willys MA and it history, multiple pages and just amazing photos as always are in this issue.
The historical significance of the Bantam, Willys, Ford work done on these early rigs just can not be understated how important of a project this was for the World at this time.
Looking a the photos and seeing some of the same parts used well into the 60’s on production models is just really neat. Then to know of the full re-pop market that is still going strong.

Roberto Flores Cartoonist / Willys Contributions and much more!
Roberto Flores sent over a few of his behind the scenes for some of his work. They are really great. He has an amazing body of work that is much more then Jeeps and Willys. (check out the links below the photos)
Roberto is a long time contributor to eWillys going back to 2012 is the earliest I was able to find references of his work and Dave would always post up his sketches he would provide. I’m happy to keep that tradition going and post up the current batch of the behind the scenes.
But anyone who subscribes to The Dispatcher Magazine will immediately recognize his work, he has been a valued contributor for that team since the Winter 2021/2022 issue, and has at times tossed in references to eWillys, many Thanks from us!
If you grab the current issue you will see a great example of the Jeep-A-Drill cartoon! He has a long relationship with eWillys; he also did a very awesome piece for the Alaska or Rust trip back in 2017. There is so much more to explore. I really appreciate the ability to share these with the larger group so you can see what goes into some of these, the details are really neat.
Please check out his website and other social media for more behind the scenes and details of his great work. Also if you would like to commission a project he has contact info on his website for your unique project.
