My wife thought this puzzle was too good to pass up, given our 2017 Alaska Or Rust trip, so she surprised me with it. This puzzle is available through a variety of sellers (one of which is Amazon). The illustration was done by Ken Zella.

This article shows FDR in jeeps. It was published in the Minneapolis Star Tribune February 02, 1943.
This may have been a CJ-3A. It lost a battle to a Kansas Tornado. The photo was taken on May 25, 1955, and is a part of the National Archives of Kansas.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000.
This looks in pretty good shape. There are a variety of DJ-5s on Facebook for sale, unlike Craigslist which doesn’t show any for the southeast region. Listing jeeps (and other items) on FB, and not Craigslist, continues to be the trend.
“This 1974 Jeep/Am General is powered by a 232 inline six with a Borg/Warren Automatic Transmission. Don’t have doors and no glass except in front window. Has 2 reconditioned seats and new mirrors. Does not have power steering or power brakes.”
UPDATE: Okay, it was listed in Alabama, but after some more research (thanks to Galen’s message) it is clear this should be listed in the Philippines. It may be a scam (with the scam the high price), but I can’t tell for sure …
I assume the seller is kidding when he writes “high performance machine”? I imagine the price is a placeholder?

“Looking for a buyer good condition Jeep, high performance machine. Urgent reason for starting business only”
Has an F-head and some Cutlas selective hubs.

“Old jeep willys for sale early 50s. Message me with any questions. Jeep needs work but it doesn’t take much to get these going”
I found this wagon’s headlights modifications interesting. Just something different. There may not be much value here unless those rims are Renegade D-Slot rims. Given this appears to be 2WD, they may not be.

“Willy’s wagon $500 I don’t know what year it is. Somebody cut the round headlights out. Bummer… Come get it”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $350.
This looks to be a Koenig hardtop. Looks like the rear hatch and doors are missing?
“Here is a good condition factory Jeep CJ 3A hardtop. It bolts on. This is just for the hardtop only…not the Jeep. No rust or bad areas……needs painting. The Jeep is gone.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8000.
This is a project that lacks brakes and leaks fuel.
“I have this gem of a jeep here, rust free 1945 willy’s cj2a with all original tub, body panels, axles, motor, trans, t-case, and much more. Flat head 6 3 speed. It has been 12v converted and a new carb and shocks and a few small things here and there, but I’d say about 90% original. Great restoration project. It runs and goes into gear hooked up to a gas can but there are fuel leaks, and the throttle and breaks are not connected. Might be able to fix it but I’m seeing what I’ll get for it as is.
Negotiable on price, but based on what everyone is telling me about this it’s worth every penny I’m asking and then some. Would easily go for 10k with minimal work giving her a tune up (which I have two boxes of new parts to do so) and can fetch upwards of 30k fully restored, which this is the perfect rust free body and frame to do that to. I want to restore it myself but I have too many projects, took this one in on trade.”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(07/08/2020) It runs, but needs work. Listed as a 1947, it could be earlier.
