Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Has full seat assembly and engine cage, they just aren’t pictured. Mostly restored, just needs some seal work but the seals come in a box of extras included. Slow leak so I haven’t worried about it. Runs great, got the fuel tank cleaned out, new fuel hose. Magneto was redone when I bought it and new plugs. New tires and Optima deep cycle battery. Runs great and drives great. Aluminum body with magnesium wheels. Original data plates. Full time 4 wheel drive and full time 4 wheel steer. Trades possible but cash is king. Partial trades considered as well”

“Willys MB/ Ford GPW… make unknown. Year/mileage unknown. This farm jeep last ran 20 years ago. It’s been sitting in a barn ever since the bearings in the rear axle gave out. This would be a great farm Jeep for anyone with some time and money. You would need to pick it up with a trailer.”

“1950 Willys Jeepster NOT STOCK) 4X4, Cj7 304ci, 3 speed, 2 speed transfer case, 33/12.5/15 Yokohama Goelander tires on 10 x 15 Mickey Thomas wheels, 12,000 lbs. winch, Yellow and black racing seats, Wrangler rolls bar, 39 Ford taillamps NO TOP. IT IS STILL A PROJECT about 90% finished. STARTS, STOPS, STEERS! needs wiring finish,, $7500 OBO May take motorcycle in trade Harley, Victory, Honda CRF 250L KLX 250s or ???”
The serial number for this is 33869, so a relatively early 2A. I’m not sure how much value is here.

I’m wondering if these photos are related to the Brenner Pass counter intelligence operation described in this book? I’ve included more photos from Lt. Kradeskis below this one. “Original WWII Snapshot Photo of COUNTERINTELLIGENCE CORPS JEEP & TRAILER of Lt. Kradeskis at BRENNER PASS between Austria and Italy, 1945. Photo was taken by Lieutenant William (Bill) Kradeskis of the Counterintelligence Corps (CIC). Lt. Kradeskis was variously assigned to the 6th Armored Division, 101st Airborne Division, and 7th Army in France, Belgium, Germany, and Austria. He was from Marblehead, Massachusetts, and married (to Bee) on 18 December 1943 just before shipping out for the ETO and did not get his honeymoon until after the war starting 6 January 1946. There are more photos that include jeeps. Lt. Kradeskis seems to have documented a lot of his travels during WWII.
