Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Looks like it has a series set of lights across the top of the windshield.
“Up for sale is a 1948 Jeep Willys. It has work done from the bottom to top. It has a dana 30 and a dana 44 posi with 4.11’s. It has a ford 302 high performance motor attached to a c4 with a stage 2 shift kit and a B&M shifter. Full roll cage with a 42″ LED bar and two racing seats with 4 point harness. It has 33×12.50 mud terrains on some flat black procomp wheels. Everything on the jeep is powder coated and was painted recently.”

“This 54 M38A1 was repurposed by the Wautoma fire dept at some time.
It has a new fuel tank, points, condenser, and coil.
Runs and drives.
Very solid but has some rust under gas tank and storage compartment under passenger seat.
Missing tailgate.
Calls only no texting please.”

Nice looking CJ-3A with Roll cage. Tank is in the rear cargo area.
“1949 Willys CJ3A. Restored from the bottom up. Built by a NASA engineer!!!!
Frame off restored in 2011:
-Professionally done paint and body. All steel. Original body sandblasted and repainted. The paint is Dupont and the color is from an early 90’s Chevy truck.
-Rebuilt 1967 Chevy 283 V8 engine bored 30 over. Crane cam, Offenhauser intake, Edelbrock carb and Mallory ignition. Less than 1,400 Miles. Runs smoothly with no issues whatsoever.
UPDATE: Was $10,000. **Status Unknown**
(11/06/2014) Listed as a 1943 MB, there isn’t much left of that. Looks solid.

(01/04/2014) The hood has a illustration of some kind.
“1948 CJ2A. 2 inch lift, with 31″ TSL bias ply Swampers. Front disc brakes, power steering, lockers front and rear. Full roll cage, 4 point seat belts up front. Engine rebuilt 2 years ago. Hardened valve seats added. Also rebuilt the transmission and put in new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. Rebuilt front end with new bearings, races, seals, discs, pads, and calipers. Rear end just rebuilt. $7000 or offer.”
