This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (04/10/2023) John shared this early CJ-2A. It’s had a few updates, but the indents and column shift are still there. There has been some body work (such as the elimination of the spare tire carrier mounting holes), along with new paint. If the underside on this is solid, it may well be worth a look at this price. I don’t impinge it would take too much to bring this back to stock.

Listed as a 1948, the body appears to be a VEC, probably ’46. It has an early grille, too.

Bought from a hunting club in TN. The owner said the jeep has been at the club since middle 70s. Started replacing engine and front engine plate didn’t match and they stopped. Will need a total restoration. The original T-90 column shift tranny still in jeep but was converted to a stick. Has all data plates …use as a donor or restore.located near Whiteville, Tn.”

Listed as a 1948, this has a column shifter. Looking at the interior pic of the left side, this might have had indents that were filled in. Unclear how much value is here given the engine issue and body rust.
