This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This is the VEC. You can see column shifter and 3 data plates.
This is the later ’46. The back of this is pretty trashed.
This has got a few issues.
“Selling my Willys!!! Don’t really want to, but it looks like I might be going to Afghanistan and would rather someone use it than have it sit in storage.
’46 VEC CJ2A #17477. Jeep runs and drives great but should still be considered a project. Needs a lot of little things but I drove it all summer without any issues. I stripped all of the bondo off of this Jeep that previous owners put on it so you can see what needs to be done. I have nothing to hide with this CJ and I hope someone gets as much fun out of it as I did. This thing’s been all over the San Juans and Moab and has been a great travel companion. This would be an excellent starting point for someone new to the old Jeeps as I located most of the hard-to-find parts and got the mechanical gremlins out already (knock on wood). If you buy it, I would also be willing to spend a day going through it with you and showing you everything that it needs.
Will consider partial trades for cool overland gear (ARB awning, engel fridge, RTT, GOOD lights, winches, etc). I have the title in hand and would be more than happy to put it in indoor storage for you until you can pick it up (storage is about $100/mo around here)….. For sale 1945 Willys Cj2a farm Jeep with pto . The Jeep does run and drive . This is one of the first civilian Jeeps made after the war and is a true factory farm Jeep with pto option. It came from Arizona so the body is pretty decent.”

This has a variety of mods.

(11/07/2010) This still has a little VEC left. SN# 14901.
“I have a project cj2a. It ran a little over a year ago when we started to take it apart to have the body redone. It needs new floor panels. The body and frame match numbers. I have everything for it. I personally just ran out of time. It is at the point where my mom wants it out of our garage. The frame motor trans are in great shape. The fenders are good and the windshield has good glass. It is #14901. Great project. I am asking 900 cash. I would consider partial trades but need at least 600 cash with the trade.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4000.
This still needs some work. I can’t tell if this has tool indents or not.

UPDATE: Price dropped to $450
(05/21/2009) It appears this body sports an early CJ-2A body with a VIN number of 11891 (though the seller believes it to be a 1947 body). At the very least, it’s got the driver side cutouts to validate the VIN number. It’s hard to tell what else is original.
“This jeep was a project vehicle for our prop building studio. It was intended to be used in parades, promotional pictures, and promotional videos as a Cobra runabout. We got this far, before we just didn’t have the spare cash or time to pour into it any longer. Serial Number appears to be 11891. The plate is still in place on the dash, but is pretty weathered, so the last digit may be off. You can judge for yourself, as I have added a pic of the Serial # plate…..”

This has some serious rust. However, I think I see some tool indents, which suggests a VEC.

It’s got the wrong engine, but has been stored indoors and has little rust (according to the seller).
