About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“This is a unique year for the Jeep being the first year the Willys became available to the general public after the war. This is truly a fantastic full body off restoration using most original parts. Very rare find with a Port Reed Bed Extension. Features original #6 volt electrical system with 56,000 original miles. Original Flathead 4 cylinder Engine completely overhauled with all numbers matching. Has new brake lines, fuel lines, wire harness. Carb kit. new seats. Original color as it came from the factory. Too many great details to mention with gauges, wipers seating, etc. Professionally appraised at $39,000.00 plus”
“1969 Jeep CJ 5 with extended bed, seat cushions for the back, hard top, rebuilt motor last fall, new clutch last fall, needs one little thing welded on the clutch pedal guide. Have plowed miles of road with the 6′ plow works great. $5000 for all of it”
“Willy’s bed extension
You don’t see many of these
Cj2a cj3a cj3b May fit others
Mount right where your existing tailgate goes
Has the supports
In pretty great shape for its age”
(08/15/2018) This appears to have a CJ-5 hardtop, hence the reason it fits oddly at the windshield.
“Nice running and fully operational 1951 Willy’s CJ5. Has a manual winch on the front that operates like a comealong ratchet. Has some type of custom rack system for carrying boards, or long pipes ETC. Hard top and rear bench seat. Equipped with an external rear box for carrying tools or luggage ETC. This is a perfect Jeep for restoration or getting back to your back 40 in old school style to stretch the fence lines! It starts up and stays running on the first try.”
The bed extender seems longer than others I’ve seen. Might be custom.
“This is a vintage accessory to extend the cargo bed for a utility Jeep. It fits a CJ2, CJ3, CJ5, and Cj6. It installs easily. Just unbolt your tailgate, and bolt this in its place. No drilling is required. Your original tailgate moves to the end of the box extender.”
(06/21/2018) Apparently, this was a mail jeep. It’s got a top that fits it (CJ-6 top perhaps?). It runs, it drives, and is a bit different.
“1946 Willys cj2a has had lots of new parts on it over the past couple years new brakes rebuilt carburetor rebuilt generator(still on 6 volts), new tires inner tubes and powder coated wheels I know I’m going to forget alot of stuff. The only issues that I had with it are that it leaks and burns oil. So no long distance trips with it. It does run it does Drive and the 4 wheel drive works. High and low. I know I’ve spent more than $2,000 in Parts on it, for instance the wheels and tires alone where a thousand plus almost $800 for the brake system. master cylinder and all, just to name a few. It’s not pretty but it works. I’m looking to get $3,500 for it CASH only. Price is negotiable slightly. Thanks and there’s one thing I forgot to mention it used to be a mail truck back in the day and I do have the steel top that was originally on it. That’s why the body is extended about 12 inches in the back.”
“Good solid running 65 year old Jeep Classic with Antique Tags good till 2023. Restore to your liking or use it the way it is on your Ranch or hunting lease. The longbox is handy for feed or supplies. I have windshield (cracked) but frame is good along with some other items and a matching spare tire. Has 12 volt system. Also, new gas tank, water pump, and new brakes. Driver’s seat needs upholstery. Fun vehicle that should hold its value or increase with restoration. $6,200.”
