About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
UPDATE: This is supposed to be Fred Weis’ first Bobcat fiberglass body. **SOLD** Was $5500.
“1948 Willys Flatfender Jeep with Bobcat fiberglass body. It has a 327 small block chevy, T18 ford 4 speed, model 20 t-case, dana 44 with 1-ton chevy locking hubs in the rear, dana 30 with open knuckles in the front, warn winch in the front, 33″ MTR tires. It runs and drives good and has great working heat. Previously it had been in storage since 1981, but is back on the road and now has current tabs. This jeep is super fast and comes with lots of extra parts. Serious buyers only; might consider possible partial trades.
$5500”
(04/10/2012) is a wide brim fiberglass body. However, the distance between the top rim of the rear of the body and the wheel wells isn’t very big. I haven’t seen one quite like this.
“I have a CJ3A fiberglass tub and fenders in good shape that I’m looking to sell. Any questions call 413-652-2616”
I also have both front & rear differentials/drive lines & L-134 Engine/Transmission/Transfer Case. This Engine assembly is not original to this 1948 CJ2A, it looks older. There are no markings from willys on the Head. Take a look at my other posting & tell me what it is.
I believe this to be 1941 thru 1944 War Jeep Engine.
Please make offer if interested. two zero eight 7nineone0five1nine”

(06/29/2010) It’s got some nice features, but it is missing the motor and tranny. It also has a bobcat fiberglass hood.
“1946 JEEP WILLYS CJ3A; DANA 44 FRONT AND REAR; WITH POSI AND 4.27 GEARS IN BOTH ENDS; PTO WINCH ON BOTH ENDS; POWER STEERING, TILT WHEEL; HAS TWO TRANSFER CASES AND TWIN STICK POWER TAKE OFF; NO MOTOR OR TRANNY; SET UP FOR GM; 32” SWAMPERS W/ LOTS OF TREAD; FIBERGLASS HOOD W/SCOOOP; 6 POINT CAGE; HASN’T BEEN ON THE ROAD IN 12 YRS HAS A CLEAR TITLE;”
That appears to be a Bobcat body, but I can’t tell for sure. This might a good price.
“Late 40’s Willys CJ2 tub and frame. The tub is aftermarket fiberglass and has never been used. The frame is very straight and has been boxed in. There are front fenders, grill, and hood, but no windsheild frame. Has been stoored inside. I also have many other odds and ends that can go such as a turbo 350 with 205 transfer case, brand new 35×12.50 15 wildcat xtx tires on wheels, jeep wagoneer axles, ect”
This has both the Bobcat body and hood. It appears to have a pretty nice paint job, too. I”m not sure what’s wrong to make this a project vehicle.
“1946 Willy’s Military Jeep.
Straight 6 cyl.
12” Ford Drums
Bobcat Fiberglass Body
Warn Hubs
“project vehicle”
$3500 OBO. Price Negotiable. Open to trades.”
(11/28/2011) This appears to be a custom M-38 with a Bobcat fiberglass hood.
“I bought this off of a car lot a year ago, but, haven’t really done anything with it. My wife won’t ride in it nor let my daughter, so, looking for something else more “Family Friendly”. Guess we just aren’t an old jeep family. I’m not sure the exact year because it was green tagged by the state patrol and assigned a new vin/title. It is titled as a 1978 homemade jeep. This is the way I bought it from Biddle Chevrolet’s used car lot.
It is a 1950-52 M38 Willys military jeep that has been rebuilt/modified over the years. The body is fairly solid with some rust bubbles. It was painted in Imron 15+ years ago. I have a box of receipts dating back to the ’70s. It has an F head 4cylinder with the stock 3 speed and transfer case as well as a Warn overdrive. Everything seems to work. Front seats, steering wheel, tires/wheels look to be new. Not hacked too badly like many jeeps I looked at before buying this one. Top in good shape, jeep just needs a good home and someone who likes to tinker, starter is temperamental (you will be too at 60 years old).
I’d like a quad, should be close to equivalent value (or cash with it) with a title.”
(04/26/2011) This has a CJ-3B hood with a bobcat design on top. I don’t remember ever seeing one. This doesn’t have Willys on the side, so I’m assuming the entire hood is fiberglass.
“V8 ENGINE
3 SPEED TRANSMISSION
NEW WIRING
NEW RADIATOR
WENCH ON FRONT
GOOD TIRES
PLEASE CALL FOR MORE INFORMATION, 619-980-2474”
Here’s a good price on a complete body kit, even if it does need some repairs. I don’t think the Bobcat bodies are as old as 1958, though I don’t know the initial date of production. I don’t recognize the style of taillights.
“Old Willys fiberglass body, hood, fenders, and grill can be yours right now! Approx 1958 is the model year. This is a “bobcat” fiberglass set, needs just a little work. This project can be yours for 300 or best offer!”
