Pete sent in his 1946 CJ-2A, it’s really nice looking. Has had it 30 years. Mike’s not going to like there is no big back story here, but I think the rig speaks for itself it looks well done and a fun ride. I’m going to guess not an L134.
Thanks, Pete for sending this in!
If you would like to share your rig with us please follow this link and consider sharing a small story and a few memories or pictures, could be an older Willys from your past as well:
Pete if you have some additional original pictures build pictures or information happy to update the post. I was lucky to have gotten a photo album with my Red Wagon filled with shots of the build, and what a transformation that rig has gone through in his 30+ years of ownership.

This one might be a handful with the 327, body looks fairly nice, not super original.
Seller’s Description
1947 Willy’s jeep , 327 Chevy engine runs and drives.
I liked this one, had not run across this one before.
Not to say it’s not already posted here on eWillys there is alot of content here! But either way from time to time what’s old is new again, at some point the plan will probably included to go over the archives and pull up some of the older stuff. It’s probably new to alot of us.

Pretty neat Monroe Lift
https://www.facebook.com/share/15nRCjr2JN/

From what I could find these were released around Feb, 13 1948 (<<<<< edit, I had 47 here, thanks Barry for making me doible check that), here is a clipping from the Detroit paper.

Also here is a clipping from 1948 for an Ad for a 1948 Jeep with a Monroe Lift and just about everything but a kitchen sink. 8-2-1948

Following that led me to this neat ad. 3-28-1948

Update: Listing Removed.
Yes I fully get the CJ2A was not made in 1950, but as we know it’s possible the title work and sale was done in 1950. My motto is if the title says it’s a 1950, well who is to argue. But really with something this old anything could have been added along the way, Jeep Salads are very common. Also makes no mention of a title in the ad, so may need to do some homework.
I’m kinda green to CJ’s and the differences so come learn with me if you would like to follow along, or click the link for
There is nothing here. No web page for this address. 404 Error.
My easy button to learn more was the resource in
at CJ3A.info they have a great guide so I followed along with that.
https://cj3a.info/cj3a/cj2acj3a.html
First the windshield 2 piece is a CJ2A, the 3A is 1 piece. But those are interchangeable.

Ignition switch on the right side.

The 2A drivers seat bracket has that slight downward slope vs the more 90 deg the 3A has.

Then this has the bow storage on the outside of the drivers rear quarter. CJ2A had this the 3As did not.

Some other features I like on this one…….
This rig has some great Patina to it, it could be a really fun project.
Has a top bow.
Wheels look period correct. Not going to have the period correct air in the LF, but can’t have everything.
Don’t miss that rear PTO!
This was one of “Andy’s Picks”, thanks for the link! Doubt he thought I could drag this out so much, but as I learn might as well pass it on to others who may want to follow along.
