Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Korean War 1951 Willys M-38. Rare Arctic Cab. 1982 Capri Ford 2.3L 140 CU. New 11″ self adjusting brakes, new seals all through. New Rancho springs. Winch operates from inside or outside, original Warn overdrive. New glass in lay down windshield. Too much to list.”

(01/08/2017) Bill shared the one. Looks to be a Lefty with a Porter & Reed hardtop.
“Jeep Willys 1948 nice floors very little rust if any, has transmission T94 and transfer case installed, V-6 Buick engine is sitting in engine bay, not hooked up yet, engine ran good before setting in compartment, no wiring done yet, comes with spare tire, front seats are good, no back seat, has hard to find artic top and doors, glass needs to be replaced, nice spare tire on a good rim, has DMV paid for the year with new Ca. plates, incorrect bumper has been taken off and a brand new black painted Willys bumper is seating in jeep ready to be put on. No trades.”

Nick’s selling this CJ-5.
“No title. For sale is an early CJ5, somewhere between 1955-1971 I forgot to check the data tag. I haven’t touched the Jeep since purchase and don’t know much about the mechanics. F-head engine, it is not running. This has a period correct hardtop with a decent body.
Tires are BFG mud terrains exactly like on a new Wrangler. They’re in decent shape but will be great on the trails. You can see in the pictures the front of the Jeep is sitting low. Somebody took the front leaf springs off the Jeep. At the least you’ll need front leaf springs and a front driveshaft. Currently the axle is sitting under the Jeep – just posed.
Floors are in good shape. Engine is complete side from plug wires. Shifters move nicely. Frame is sturdy. Feel free to call/text me anytime of day. We have a forklift to push this right on your trailer.”

This has had a makeover since it was last listed in December.
“1951 Jeep CJ3A w/new rebuilt engine….and many newly rebuilt parts (starter, generator, carburetor). New wiring, hoses, belts, battery cable, seats, fuel pump, transmission floor cover plate, etc. Cleaned and refurbished fuel tank. This is a very good “WEST COAST” Desert mountain truck that has no rust/cancer. Yes….OD paint, but that’s all…..tires are in very good condition. Includes spare mt. & tire. Runs great!!.”
