This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Hi i have a 1946 Jeep Willys here. Has been garaged since 87 and it pretty good condition. All origional with all parts still there. It did run when it was parked but has sat for 23 years so no guarentees on it running but would be a nice project. Lost the keys for the ignition so it will have to be replaced. (11/26/2009) The seller would like to trade this jeep as part of a trade for a Cargo Trailer. This is a no tailgate DJ-3A. This appears to be a great price.
“JEEP: 1956 WILLY’S DJ3-A. Needs the bodywork finished and painted. Body is in good shape. Not wrecked or rusted out. Floorpan is great. Engine is a 4-cyl 1971 Ford, but runs like a top! Short exhaust w/cherry bomb. Roll bar and hardtop included. Aluminum mag wheels. Needs tires. Windshield is cracked, but would be easy to replace. Clear title in my name. Very unusual model. Same body style as Willy’s MB/Ford GPW. Would trade for approx $1200 +/- toward a trailer.”

It’s not totally stock, but it sure looks nice for the price.
“Titled as a 1947 CJ. Ford 4cyl motor and 4 speed manual transmission. Full aluminum Meyers top and doors. Bucket seats in front, rear jumpseat, rollbar, heater. Runs great, crack in windshield glass. Fuel pump is a little weak as it loses prime if not started for a few weeks. Fun vehicle. Take the top off and flip the windshield down in the summer.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.
This CJ-2A was listed on eBay for $1200 (also listed on craigslist for the same amount). No bids were made. Bidding ended on April 13, 2010. However, it looks like a decent price to me. It is a complete jeep with a PTO winch, a top, and a cj-3a windshield with good glass.
“1947 Willy’s CJ-2A with Hardtop and doors. It has a F-Head motor with a 3 speed manual transmission and a CJ-3A windshield. I bought this for $1500 almost 5 years ago. It started right up and drove until I brought it home which is right around 9,000′. I could not get it started and since it has just been sitting in the driveway. I had the starter rebuilt at the cost of $189.81 with a receipt to show. At the moment the battery is dead and the carb. needs rebuilt or replaced. My plan was to upgrade the ignition and put on a new carb. This is a good old flatfender that just needs a little time and money. There is a swing away tire carrier with 2 jerry can holders.”

This looks in reasonable condition. I do wonder what gun fighter shot a hole in the hood of this poor, defenseless jeep.
