“1956 Cj6 Jeep with newer hard top. Includes doors with crank windows and locking tailgate.
original F head drive train and 3 spd tranny. converted to 12V. not military- I just liked the olive drab look. kept maintained but not restored”
UPDATE: This might be an early Meyers-marketed hardtop (pre Sears/Allstate). One clue is the rear hatch’s vertical supports on either side of the window.
Will need some work.

This M-38A1 used to belong to the San Juan County Sheriff’s office.

“This M38A1 was owned by the San Juan County Sheriffs dept in Silverton CO for 35+ years,is part of our high mountain Colorado history. It was bought by a local in 2001 and remained in Silverton until now. I’ve watched this rig for the past 11 years and recently got my hands on it. With a family of 4, 3 dogs and a brand new house I dont know what the Hades I was thinking but at the time I had to have it. I have owned a lot of military Jeeps in the past, have had many M38A1s and know a good one when I see it.
This rig has a very nice Kelly hard top, converted to 12 volt, has the wrong seats in it but otherwise is very original and complete. There are very few “extra” holes, nothing has been hacked or cut up, body, floors, etc are extremely straight, rust free and would make an excellent restoration base or drive it as is. There is a matching spare wheel and military gas can in the back. The tool box floor is perfect as is the glove box floor. This Jeep has no real rust, is surface only, the mud is my fault, I live on a dirt road (see underside photos) The engine starts right up, no smoke, sounds good, brakes are good, shifts tight etc as you would expect with 8K miles.”
Blaine shared this one. It includes doors and rear hatch.

“Koenig steel hard top for early model flat-fender jeeps (CJ2a- to CJ3b). All glass intact and in good condition. Vertical sliding windows. No rust. Excellent restoration candidate.”

Looks solid.
“1946 Jeep Willys cj2a with rare aluminum hard top!
4 cylinder “Go Devil” L-head engine. Jeep starts and runs strong. Brakes, steers and shifts through all gears with no problem – road worthy. 4 wheel hi/low works. Engine was removed and re-built in 2008 (have receipts) with a new clutch, pressure plate & throw out bearing. Radiator replaced and new tires. New spark plugs in 2016. Temp, amp & oil pressure gauges all work. Have owner’s manual and mechanics manual. New original style spare tire carrier/mount from Walcks (not generic aftermarket carrier). Has new front turn signals as well as correct tail lights. Headlights work, also has a cabin heater (under driver dash).
All footman loops are present. Original body, not perfect but pretty close and amazing for 70+ years old. Paint is old flat finish, hard to get patina in a paint can. Windows slide open and shut. Seats are good – no tears. Bolt on roll cage for safety along with harness seat belts-can be removed.
One crack in windshield and one crack in side rear aluminum top window. Neither bothered me, but could be replaced cheap! Minor oil leak but for the age, what can you expect (most likely around a seal). I bought another Jeep a few years newer with a snow plow and so wife says one has to go so she can get her vehicle back in the garage! Hoping to find this CJ a good home at $6,500. Also have 5 original (not aftermarket) 16″x 4.5″ wheels in fantastic condition for $400.”
This may have potential. That appears to be a Kelly Bonanza III hardtop.

“We also have a 1951 Jeep Willies”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $500.
(11/04/2019) This jeep looks to have a Worman Jee-Cab.
“This is a 1947 Willys CJ2A jeep for parts. Serial # 138877. Frame appears to be solid, front horns are in great shape; The T-90 transmission is stuck and the L134 engine turns by hand; front floor is toast, hood is good. It has a rare Worman Jee-Cab (will need some repair) It does roll. I’ll throw in the fenders and radiator for an extra $150. Has a nice bumper too, $50..”
