Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (09/26/2013) This jeep has an unusually customized dash. The louvered rear and hood give it a different look as well.
“I’m selling my recently restored 1963 Jeep. I love this thing but it is simply not practical for me. I run around way to much with work. This jeep runs like new and everything works. No squeeking, no dents, it’s like new. There are a few minor nicks in the paint but nothing major. I shipped this down from the states back in April. It has 1900 miles on it since being restored. It has Bluetooth retro sound stereo with kicker speakers. Perfect island ride. Turns lots of heads. Handles hills no problem. I have taken very good care of this jeep. “I have 2 automobiles for sale. A must have for vintage automobile collectors. The first is a 1948 Willy’s jeep. Manual shift, 3 speed, 4 wheel drive and V6 engine, with Extra large tires. It is in great condition! I’m asking $5000 or best offer.”
There just aren’t many roads on St. John to drive one of these! It’s an unusual CJ-5.

(10/25/2012) This has got a problem hole in the floor . . .
“1963 Jeep CJ3b, 4cylinder, 4 wheel drive, 4 speed transmission. Runs and drives. New brakes, including master cylinder, wheel cylinders, and lines. New fuel tank and sending unit. New steel front bumper. Powdercoated wheels and brand new Goodyear Wrangler tires.
Needs exhaust and fuel system work, and could use a general tune up. Plenty of rust (see pictures). Seats are missing. Title was lost, but paperwork was submitted early this week and I should have the title in the next few weeks.
Also have a set of louvered front body panels, including fenders, hood and grille. Will include with the vehicle or will sell seperately.

Steve spotted this ad for those do-it-yourselfers who wanted to add louvers to their hoods called the FORM-A-LOUVER. I still haven’t found an advertisement for aftermarket louvered flatfender hoods. Maybe they were all custom made?

“1946 willys jeep, 327 chevy motor, sm420 trans, dana 20 transfer case with twin stick kit, newer dana 30 front and 44 rear axles, spool in rear axle. new 33×12.50-15 mud tires on 15×10 aluminum wheels, full cage, bikini top, power steering, 20 gallon stainless fuel cell, high back bucket seats, HD radiator, tow bar… everything works perfect, runs and drives great, very dependable, i use it as a daily driver in the summer, just looking to move on to the next toy. be the perfect hunting rig this fall, this jeep will go anywhere you desire… asking”
