Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have a 1948 Willy’s Jeep. Its all original besides the paint. Runs and drives. Original flat head 4 cylinder. It is still a 6 volt system. Clear title. Its in great shape besides the paint. It has a brand new 6 volt battery in it. The generator is not charging currently but would be easy fix. Has always been garage kept. It has been setting around 7 years. It still has the original military tires on it”

“This 1945 Army Jeep with Willys trailer was meticulously restored by my uncle Erv.
From what I remember, he did a ground up restoration in the 1990’s and paid attention to detail. I do know he added and electric fuel pump a few years ago.
Erv was a mechanic in the army in the late 1950’s and always love military vehicles, this jeep was his pride and joy. I don’t think he ever missed a Memorial Day & Fourth of July day parade with it.
Appears to have side and rear tank.

“Restored 1953 CJ3B Jeep for sale. Engine, Transmissions, Differentials were rebuilt. Body work, primed, and painted. No Rust. Upgraded to 12 volt system with 12 volt generator and lights. Has signal lights, stock heater(12 v motor), and electric windshield wipers. Has 15″jeep wheels with radial tires. Also include meat top frame and doors for canvas top.”

“1942 World War II Willy’s MB Jeep, runs and has title. New canvas, (5) new military NDT tires, (4) combat wheels, gas can, filler neck, pioneer tools (shovel ax pick). History: It appears that this vehicle served out it time in the U.S., and it was rebuilt by the US Army in 1953. This information is based on US military rebuild tags. Views by appointment only. (09/29/2015) Stretched with other mods, it appears to have the original engine.
“This is a heavily modified 1952 Willy’s Jeep. It has a Rusty’s based 3 bar suspension front and rear. The body has stretched 10″ and custom 18″ wheels and off road tires bolted up to the Dana axles. It is also equipped with a 6 point roll cage and a PSC hydraulic steering unit. It has the original flathead four cylinder and Solex carb. Only 320 miles since restoration.”

Steve shared this ad. The jeep has an older body kit that mixed CJ-3A, M-38, and MB elements.
“Calling all Jeep collectors! Here is a great opportunity to own a fully restored classic Jeep model CJ3A. The Jeep was restored approximately 10 years ago, has been driven just 100 miles since the restoration and has been garage kept since its restoration. The frame and body are in excellent condition. The engine and transmission were rebuilt at the time of the restoration. Since being acquired by the owner the fuel system was replaced due to corrosion from long periods of non-operation. This Jeep is well maintained, looks great and drives well.”
