About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“The Ford GP offered for sale here is serial number 9419 and was built 24 April 1941 and assigned the US Army hood number W 2018213 at the factory. Ford GP 9419 was purchased from the family of a hunter at Deer River, Minnesota in 1984.
GP 9419 is complete with its original data plates (fairly rare for prototype vehicles) and the data plates match the frame serial number * 9419 * (which is also quite rare for prototype vehicles). This rare 76+ year old vehicle is 95% complete and almost everything has been restored or rebuilt by experts – the front and rear end, transmission and transfer case, engine, headlights and taillights, gauges, carburetor, etc. The sheet metal is all original except for the floor pan in the body, and there are quite a few rare bolts and nuts and some new-old-stock parts. The vehicle has never sat outside since it was purchased in 1984 and has spent the last 20 years in a tight, dry garage at 4500 feet elevation in the high desert climate of the Black Hills in southwestern South Dakota. The GP has a South Dakota title and is located only about 20 miles off the I-90 freeway on a good tar road.”

“Im selling my beautiful 1948 Jeep that has been fully restored, always garage kept, always maintained, and always driven carefully. Has a 3 speed transmission. Car has a 350 V8 Chevy Carburetor Engine, 4×4 Lockers, and optional 4×4 and also can be changed to 2wd. Has many extras in the vehicle, some to list are: power steering, pro comp tires, mickey thompson wheels, corvette leathers seats, Truck Air Compressed horn, bikini top and many more.”
Jim’s sold and shipped a variety of jeeps over the past decade. I imagine the cut hood and lower grill was meant to add visibility, but I can’t say for sure.
“The perplexed look on peoples faces when they see 4 shifters sticking up through the floor board is priceless. I’ve owned this Jeep for nearly 5 years with no plans to ever sell it but with a family of 4 (+3 dogs) I never drive it. On top of that we’re building a house at 8100 ft on the mountain and without a garage I can’t stand to see it sit outside anymore. This Jeep was professionally built, no “hack work” on this rig. Adult owned, never abused, I’ve only driven it to town and on the back roads around the lake where I live. Continue reading →

“Up for sale is my 1961 Cj5. I bought this as a started project from a friend near Philly. It was an old plow Jeep he rescued. He had the motor rebuilt, and installed a new fiberglass tub on the original drivetrain. Windshield and hood is the original metal. The seats he had done in an awesome marine grade vinyl with the original springs being redone. A new exhaust was also on it.
Now what I did.
1. New paint and clear coat laid on her
2. Added factory style rubber matting front and back
3. Completely new fuel system from tank to carb
4. Rebuilt the factory gauges
5. Complete new wire harness from Walcks 4wd
6. Added 5 period correct tires and tubes
7. Installed an up to date heating /defrost system all concealed in the original areas by “Vintage Air ”
8. Tore engine down to install all new Felpro gaskets and painted it in a black and orange engine paint.
