Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is a factory civilian version (none military)cj2a willys jeep fully frame off restoration that is not perfect but close everything has eather been rebuilt or bought new 99%of it all came from walcks or kaiserwillys its got new springs gauges seat covers and padding just to name a few motor has had all machine work done as needed transmission rebuilt with new seals bearings sinkernisers it has a factory style Ramsey winch and mounting bracket Ramsey pto box both been reworked and work nothing spared the miles (881)or correct since put back together in early 2015 it’s not had any rough off roading (no mudd) or puddle jumping I’m basically the only one that has driven it if interested no email or text calls only please and trading is probably out unless you really have something different or rarely unusually neat cause I’ve eather had it or got it Thanks for looking and happy jeeping”

UPDATE: Chris noted it could be a lefty. There’s no bow holder on the passenger side, but maybe they’e been removed.

(07/28/2015) Looks parade ready.
“1955 Korean War M38A1 Willy’s Jeep that is in excellent condition. I have receipts, work order, maintenance logs going back nearly 20 years. This jeep has had a lot of time, effort and money invested into it over the years including a full engine overhaul (at a cost of nearly 3.5K– nothing was skimped. Vehicle has approx 2700 miles since engine overhaul. I currently drive the jeep when weather permits in parades and military funerals. The paint is from Quantico U.S. Marine Base and is Marine Chemical Resistant paint approximately 8 years old. Every thing works on the jeep. Gages, horn, lights and has new spark plugs, wires, new radiator and has a very hard to find military antenna. This is a 24 volt system that has 2 new military batteries. This is not a frame off restoration but everything else is 100 percent. All new canvas on seats and top. There is an AM/FM/CD radio
with 9″ speakers mounted in two ammo cans in the rear of the jeep. Five new military tires and tubes”

It has all the original drivetrain and runs and drives great. Its not show quality but it is in great shape inside and out.”
