“have: replaced the wheels with correct reproduction units; all new Coker reproduction tires and tubes; replaced all the gauges–fuel, speedo, voltage, oil pressure, temp (mileage is unknown, I have put about 500 miles on the odometer since replacement of original speedometer); all body work done correctly and new paint (sand/olive color, purchased from Quarter Ton and Military in Chickamauga, Georgia); new exhaust/muffler; new transmission main bearings; new solex carburetor; new clutch and throw-out bearing; new fuel sender in gas tank; new bikini top; new electric windshield wiper (driver’s side); new side and rearview mirrors; all new coachmen loops; all new brakes shoes and slave cylinders; rebuilt original horn ($600 dollars if you can find one!); new hood latches and hinge; rebuilt steering box and new steering links/tie rods and ends; new dash placards; new shifter boots; hemp tow rope (on front bumper); new choke cable; etc (sure I’m forgetting some things)!
Everything works as it should (lights, blinker, etc). A blast to drive, lots of comments–especially from envious Wrangler drivers!”
UPDATE: This has a CJ chassis and has a few other non-M-38 elements.
“This thing rolled of the line in 1952. Built for greatness? Absolutely. It runs like a complete champ. This 3-speed manual shifts incredibly. You’re probably thinking “Oh no it’s a stick, but I don’t know how to drive a stick…” If that’s the case, it’s time for you to sack the heck up… Put on your learning pants and let me teach you one of the most essential life lessons you can have as an American citizen.
Don’t worry the tricky stuff has already been done on this bad to the bone 1952 Willy’s M38 Military Jeep. The tranny has been rebuilt with all new gears. As usual, I’m writing slowly because I know you can’t read fast… Motor was completed prior to me purchasing. While, I’m unsure of how many miles are this thing, I’m sure it’s got some memories. Some of the gauges are working, some are not. Which is pretty common for an almost 70 year old vehicle! I have installed a new alternator, 12 volt battery, and have changed all the bulbs. I do have the old 6 volt generator which will go with it.

“This Awesome Classic Jeep is
Brought to you by
Texas Classic Cars of Dallas
Come see us at 1912 west Mockingbird”
Looks like a clean build, but I need more pics to be convinced it’s the “best looking truck on the planet”.
“The best looking truck on the Planet~~~. I have had this comment several times for various people. I’m not sure about it but if not, its damn close! Multi-year project to bring this awesome machine to the fantastic condition and performance level that it is today. This muscle truck has a high end Chevy 350 with a 700 R automatic transmission as well as Power steering, power brakes, custom oak interior, mounted on a 4 link, etc, etc, etc…. It drives so smooth at highway speeds you think you’re driving a new truck,….and essentially you are! Everything done right!

(02/01/2017) Lots of updates.
“1947 CJ2A body on a 1974 CJ5 frame. 327 cubic inch Chevy engine, 3 speed manual, four wheel drive, rear lockers. This was basically a frame off restoration. The engine was rebuilt and everything is either new or refurbished. Front disk brakes, new gauges. The odometer was set to zero when the engine was finished. The frame and body were sand blasted and painted. No rust or body damage. Custom seats, power steering, new Bestop soft top. Windshield wipers and a heater have been added for Colorado weather. Reverse shackle leaf springs for improved handling, tilt steering. It runs and drives great. Good Offroad setup. I inherited this jeep so I don’t have some of the specifics on certain parts. The price is fair and firm. It needs to be seen to be appreciated.”
Looks nice.
“1960 CJ3B. Red, originally white. Very good shape, runs very well. Needs nothing. ZERO RUST. Soft Top Bikini Top, Jeepster wheels, carpet, optional heat, over drive. Brand new brake shoes, cylinders. 12 volt conversion, generator rebuilt in 2013. Fresh oil change. Original hard top with doors comes in sale. Original hurricane 4-cylinder motor. 66,xxx actual miles. My father bought this brand new in Austin Texas and he owned it until 2009, at which point I obtained it when he was no longer able to drive. So this is a one family jeep for 57 years. It has been a driver, not a show car so it has the occasional scuff and the old radio no longer works.
Always stored indoors and presently in my garage where it has been parked every night. Clear and clean VA title in my name. Open to offers, cash speaks loudly. I am not forced to sell this Jeep so I won’t entertain any low ball offers. NADA has an average retail value of $14000 which I think is off (too high). This is very much an above average Jeep for a below average price. The final two pictures are one of me in the Jeep circa 1977 and one of my sons circa 2013. All of the other pictures were taken 6/3/17 with more to come. I can get pictures of whatever is requested.”
Looks good.
