Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is a Texas Jeep with original steel body! The CJ6 is a rare Jeep, only around 50,000 built and most were exported. There aren’t many left. This one is in very good condition and nicely built with many thoughtful extras like interior lighting, windshield washers, accessory outlet, aftermarket heat, shoulder belts, and much more.

The transfer case has a leaking rear seal. The jeep needs a paint job, I’m considering having it painted but can’t decide on a color.”

(10/04/2013) “1946 Willys -Overland CJ2A, 4.3 Chevy V6, Throttle Body fuel injection, SM465 transmission, Saturn overdrive, Dana Model 30 front, Open knuckle, Disc brakes, Saginaw manual steering box, Dana 44 rear, 5:38 gears, 26 gallon custom built fuel tank, fully powder coated boxed frame, custom built powder coated roll cage, completely rewired, new cloth top, aluminum A.R.E. rims, 34 inch new mud and snow tires, Custom roof rack (not shown in photos), custom luggage rack, 4 point Simpson safety harness, painted in black spray-on bed liner, approximately 500 miles on car since rebuild, call Jim”

(03/06/2014) This CJ-10 has been kept in good shape.
“Selling a Willy’s Jeep C-10a Custom Spray Rig. You will not find one like this, one of a kind. This is a CJ10a tug with less than 3000 total produced. It came from factory with a ¾ ton front axle and a 1 ton rear axle. It has a great running six cylinder Nissan Diesel Engine (from factory) with a 727 Heavy Duty Automatic Transmission. This was originally an small and light airplane tow truck. We added a heavy duty bed, diamond plate, front weight, Schaben spray unit with a 5 HP Honda motor. Has all electric actuators to raise, lower, and adjust the spray booms. Currently has (2) broadcast nozzles in the rear, spray wand, and all electric controls and gauges inside. Sets on nice flotation tires that have a great amount of tread. Too much too list.”

“Starts, runs and drives. Very solid, straight body, strong engine, no rust, good floors and interior, repainted 30 years ago, always garaged, good brakes, clutch, transmission and rear end. Lights work. Has optional Borg Warner overdrive.
This Jeepster needs some minor attention, but I have too many other cars ahead of it. Needs:
Tires
Muffler (has a rattle)
Dashboard overdrive cable (Overdrive works, but it’s switched on and off by a push/pull cable)
Top needs restitching (or a brand new top is $395)
Wiper motor repair
Air cleaner cover
Passenger side wing window glass

(11/20/2014) Nice looking CJ-5. This is from the same collection as the CJ-6 that was available a few days ago.
“Up for auction is an unbelievably original 1965 CJ5 Tuxedo Park with 22,947 original miles. This Jeep has most of its original paint with paint code 226 and trim code of 227. The hood has been replaced due to the original hood being damaged many years ago. The replacement hood is a later style that does not have the typical early CJ water fording cover on the side and the footman loops are in the incorrect location.
This would be an easy fix however to make the Jeep correct again. The hood therefore does not have the original paint nor does the cowl because the paint was blended into the cowl to get a correct match. The Jeep has a 134 overhead four cylinder engine with a 3 speed column shift manual transmission, factory overdrive and 2 speed transfer case.
