This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This looks promising and includes a rear PTO. In order to contact the seller, you’ll have to click on the “send note” at the bottom of the Craigslist ad.

This is listed as a 57 jeep, but looks like a CJ-3A to me.
“1957 willys jeep 4×4. Awesome piece of history. These things were built well. Made to military standards. Motor has been rebuilt and runs great. Trans shifts good. 4×4 hi and low works well. This would be a cool jeep for a swap or restore project or drive it as is.
Interested in 4×4 rigs. 4×4 four wheelers or anything of real value that interests me. Just ask.”

“1948 Willy’s Jeep for sale. Recently fuly restored, has original engine as well as transmission. Has new paint, brakes, clean top, new tires, newly covered seats etc.”

“1962 Willys Jeep FC150 4×4, Rare Foward Control Short Bed Truck, Factory “F” Head 4 Cylinder Engine, 3 Speed Manual Transmission, All Original Paint, Overall Very Solid and Straight Body, Shows 76k miles that I was told to be original, Runs and Drives, Great Restoration Project or Enjoy its Patina and Drive As Is, $3,950.”

(11/06/2013) It needs some work, but the jeep itself looks solid.
“Nice Willys CJ-2A. Serial numer indicates late 1946. Paper work has 1947. Has an original 1945 L134 “Go-Devil” 4 cylinder MB engine. The “Willys” script name on windshield, under passenger seat and on tail gate. Runs but gas tank sludge needs cleaned out. Includes mounted spare tire, gas can, bug screen, new battery, emergency brake system, CJ-2A original seat frames and extra front axle assembly and radiator. Master brake cylinder needs replaced. Windshield is Plexiglas and needs replaced. Great shape. Garage kept – No rust but dusty.”

Here’s an interesting build. The dash has a unique gauge panel.
“NEW! 1955 Willys CJ5. This is a two year frame off, custom hot rod Jeep. New Tub from Willys Overland, Toledo, Ohio. All metal is painted on outside and coated with Linex on underside. Color: Porsche Atlas Grey Metallic. Front axel from 1977 U.S. Mail Jeep. Rear differential is same, 3:73 Dodge. 2008 GMC Sierra 4.3L V6, 4L60E trans, a new drive line. Frame axel and diff completely rebuilt and powder coated. Custom seats with mastercraft 4pt. harness, Ipod stereo, Dakota digital instruments, B&M ratchet shifter. Aeroquip fuel pump. Ididit tilt column, Marine speakers, vintage air heater, power seats, Ron Davis radiator, Sanderson headers. CASH ONLY,”

I would be easy to make fun of the use of ‘planes’ in the below text, but I make enough mistakes that I won’t cast any stones. However, I didn’t know there were plains in Lake Havasu. The year is clearly incorrect.

Fully restored to its original glory with a lift in the springs, stock Hurricane motor rebuilt and the L Head Flowmaster exhaust. Also comes with original hardtop. This Jeep has had no rust issues. Runs like a dream”
