I purchased this jeep 5 months ago. It is a 48 CJ2A. I was told it has an original body, transmission, transfer case. It has clear title and is currently tagged and insured in Georgia.

Below is a list of what It has had done since I got it:

Rebuilt T90 Transmission (All new parts)
Rebuilt Dana-18 Transfer Case (All new parts)
New clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing
Flywheel resurface
New emergency brake shoes
Items above were dont 80 miles ago
New carb
New brakes
All new brake lines
New master cylinder
New plugs
New rear seat frame
New fuel filter
New Oil filter
All new hoses
4 new seat belts
New thermostat
New rear diff pinion seal

New gauges (except speedo which I believe is original)

“1947 Willys CJ2A Jeep for sale. It has a clear Missouri title with matching VIN and frame tags. This jeep runs like a top and also stops on a dime. In very good restorable condition with very little surface rust and no rust thru, or ready for just for 4 wheeling on your place or deer hunting. Great solid, straight body and floorboards. Has a tiger top with doors. Original jeep wheels with decent rubber. All original under hood except has been changed over to 12 volt. All original frame, drive shafts, rear end and tranny. Good seats. Newer gas tank and master cylinder. Has spare tire and modified spare tire holder on back for easier access thru woods and tight spaces”

(06/09/2013) This sits on a Suzuki drive train. Unclear why the center console appears unfinished.

“This is a hand built 1953 willy’s jeep body and it has 1987 Suzuki Samari 4×4 running gear. this is a vary Beautiful jeep and it was built right,everything works great and it has new tires and just did a full tune up so its ready for summer and the car shows…also has working heater and i have doors & soft top to go with jeep,,,!

This jeep includes a trailer.

“All original with the exception of the top, rear gas can holder etc… I added alot of extras to make it appear to be a WWII MB. It has 23671 miles on it. It has warn lock out front hubs, a warn overdrive, a period correct heater. It has been coverted to 12 volt. There is no rust anywhere except a little in the tool box. All five tires are brand new Firestone 7.00×16 NDCC. There is also a trailer to haul the jeep, it has surge brakes and ramps. Email me for more info. This is a real nice jeep so please don’t try to low ball me you’ll be hard pressed to find another like this.”

“Restored jeep you have to see. Ford tires are on the jeep and there is an extra set along with the cover. Bumper has been bent. Otherwise it is in good condition.”

“his Jeep is mechanically in GREAT condition. 3 speed manual transmission, twin stick transfer case, Warn overdrive, Buick 225 V6, new clutch, transmission transfer case and overdrive overhauled and in perfect running condition. Five point harnesses installed, fuel tank and filler cap converted to rear mount. New leaf springs with 3″ lift and shocks, Warn winch (winch needs work) RotoX jerry can and mount, new dual pipe exhaust system. Body in reasonably good condition… a few minor dings. Needs paint, comes with bikini top. It’s ready to take anywhere. As you can see from the pictures, I haven’t been afraid to use it.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $16,500

Looks real nice. The seller notes W/O only made 3 Sedan Delivery Wagons in 1951. Actually, they only made 3 4WD Sedan Delivery Wagons (see model 473 SD & VIN 451 CA1). There were other 2WD Wagons made. Since this is converted to 2WD, the novelty of the VIN seems undermined. Cool wagon though.
