About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1944 Jeep Willys MB for sale. This is going to be a great project Jeep for someone looking to restore a rare WWII era jeep. Considering its age, it is very complete. It does not run and the engine is out of it, but is included in price, already rebuilt! I was going to rebuild it, but I have new baby on the way and won’t be ale to devote the time and money it would require. I’m just trying to get back what I paid for everything. There is an extra Willys Jeep motor included, but not rebuilt.”
“1946 willys jeep, new body, seats, new from frame up. Motor runs good but needs rebuilt. Original miles unknown. 16″ x7.00 n/d tires. Great restore start.”
(12/16/2012) Looks like a nice rig. Lots of detail pics. However, a variety of minor updates keep it from looking “like it was in 1948 from the factory”.
“This is a rare, 1948 Jeep CJ2A Willys that will take you to the car shows to win trophies or will take you across the desert. ONLY 570 MILES SINCE FULL RESTORATION. Jeep is new.
This jeep went through a full documented, nut and bolt, frame off restoration in 2008 including:
-Rebuilt and restored “GO-DEVIL” L Head motor.
-Rebuild of the original manual transmission.
-Body was taken down to bare metal, minor rust repaired with metal, sandblasted, primed then painted. Repainted by shop (not a home job).
-Frame was dipped, coated with POR15 and painted.
-New bolts and hardware throughout.
-Brand new high end soft top.
-New brakes all around.
-New weatherstripping and rubber.
-4×4 System gone through and restored.
-Restored (Media Blasted and painted) original Rims.
-Restored Interior and painted throughout. New custom seat belts.
-Powder coated bumpers and step.
-Custom Bumper with Trailer Hitch (Never used)
In Full Disclosure:
-There is a spot on the fender where there is some lacquer / clear cracking in the paint (See pictures). No dings, dents or other imperfections.
Pictures, journal entries, receipts, Appraisal, etc all included with sale. This jeep is laser straight and looks like it was in 1948 from the factory (Except color, fancy soft top and seat belts). Everything works. Hop in and drive.”
This jeep is a few hours south of me. ONly one pic, but it looks good. I’m surprised the windshield wipers are mounted above the windshield.
“Has nice top and tires, runs/drives good. Engine was converted to Ford 4-cyl. Sorry no restoration or maintenance history but it’s a nice little Jeep! Serious buyers email or call/text 208 830 1425.”
This sure looks nice for the price. It’s got the wrong windshield at the very least.
“Runs and drives great. Engine is original type Flat Head L-134. Original T90
three speed transmission with Dana 18 Transfer case. Body is original M38
with some CJ2a parts such as Hood and Windshield. 16″ wheels with 900×16
NDCC tires. New gas tank, New aftermarket front seats. Will not find a
better running Willys Jeep.”
This does need some work, but sure looks like a good project.
