1943 GPW Saratoga, Ca **SOLD**
UPDATE: Was on eBay. **SOLD**
“You are bidding on a 1943 Ford GPW Willys Jeep, which has had an amateur restoration done in 2002. It is from a local San Jose, CA estate we are selling. It starts right up and drives OK. The vehicle has the original data tags on the glove box showing the vehicle serial number: GPW118251. The frame serial number is GPW118251. The Body serial number, which is supposed to be stamped on the tub/body driver side cowl is not present. The Engine serial number, supposed to be stamped on the block to the right of the Oil filler tube is not present.
ENGINE & RUNNING GEAR: 4 cylinder 134 cid 60 HP L-Head engine apparently of a later date, serial number unknown. The only numbers I could find on the engine were located on the lower right side just above the oil pan: 10-4 . . . 64 1087-L-W7 AN1-CR-N2. The engine has an alternator upgrade kit. The engine has a small water leak, I suspect from the water pump. The transmission seems OK, but the clutch will need replacing before too long. The transfer case looks OK, the 4WD works OK.
BRAKES: The brakes appear to need replacing, along with repair to the emergency brake.
ELECTRICAL: The vehicle has been converted to a 12 Volt system. It looks like the wiring harness was replaced when restored in 2002. I could not get the headlights, brake light, dashboard lights or horn to work, but all other electrical functions seem OK.
FRAME: Original with VIN # GPW118251. The front left tongue has rewelded from a wreck, with some rust, otherwise it looks OK.
BODY: I couldn’t find the VIN where it is suppose to be located. The body shows rewelding work and heavy bondo work, with some cracks showing through the paint. But it looks pretty good.
EXTERIOR: Canvas top has wear to the left rear seam and some fading, but looks OK. It was repainted Army Olive Green with white lettering in 2002 and is in good condition. It has the tools on the side, gas can on the rear and a tow bar on the front.
INTERIOR: The driver’s seat has a tear, otherwise the passenger seat and rear bench are OK. All the dashboard gauges work. Manual windshield wipers. Tool kit under passenger seat. With gun rack. After market seat belt for passenger only.
SUMMARY: The 2002 restoration is showing some wear, but the jeep starts right up and drives OK. I couldn’t find any “F” Ford markings on parts, or bolts. A nice driver.”

1963 CJ-3B Lawrenceburg, TN **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Here’s an ex-Forest Service jeep with plenty of original extras.
“1963 Willys CJ3B U.S.F.S. Jeep for sale. This unit underwent a very expensive rebuild down to the last nut and bolt during 2006-2007. Since then it has lived in our dry garage with a soft cover on it. It has about 540 miles on it and used on sunnydays, a few weddings, parades, crusing the Nathez Trace, etc. I just uncovered it, cranked it up and drove out in the yard and snapped these pictures. If you are a Willys person you can see the care that was taken in putting this unit back into service. The color is 1962 willys cerulean blue with correct seats and covers. We have a rear passenger seat not shown that goes with it. The new sheet metal is from Willys Overland in Toledo, OH. All mechanicals are remanufactured by professionals, no patching, period. In addition to the standard equipment: F-134 Hurricane Engine, 3 spd transnsmission, 2 speed transfer case, original 1962 lock-out front hubs, 16” willys steel wheels. The goverment agencies added from the Willys Dealer on this one: Belt Driven Variable Speed Engine Governor, Rear P.T.O. Drive for Implements, Front P.T.O. Drive for the Keonig King Winch with plasma rope, Warn Over Drive for Highway travel, Fuel Pump with Vacuum Motor to operate 2 Windshield Wipers, F-3 Engine Oil Cleaner, Spartan Self Cancelling Turn Signals and more. Everything is as it should be. We prefer an alternator to insure reliability. The jeep is very quiet, and safe. If you want to built a rust free “new” willys you will spend double the price of this one. If you want to go on fun Jeep Rides and be the talk of any car show, it is available. Look on www.cj3bpage.com and go to 1962 owners. It is feautured there with another write-up and more pictures.”
1946 VEC CJ-2A Cleveland, Oh **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $29,000.
(11/30/2010) Bob spotted this really nice original restoration. I’d like to see some better pics. I also really like the color scheme. I do have a couple minor, really minor detail questions pertaining to originality. Wouldn’t the bezels have been painting the body paint color (though I think they look better in black)? Also, wouldn’t the rear bumper have had the dropped PTO connector angle (though I like the looks of the bumper that was installed on this)?
“Early production column-shift model 20670.
Ground-up restoration to original condition. The jeep has the original 134 cid in line 4-cylinder engine, column-shift T90 3-speed manual transmission and transfer case. Every piece on this classic Jeep has been disassembled, media blasted and rebuild, reconditioned, or replaced to achieve its as new condition. This Willys has been finished in the correct Harvest Tan color with the corresponding orange wheels. ”
