This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1952 Willys M-38, 2003 AACA Senior First Place Winner, Restoration completed in 2001, orginal data plates, 12volt, new battery, turn signals, all black out lights work, pioneer shovel and ax, summer top, windshield canvas, and car cover. Great running flathead 4cyl, 3spd trans, with no issues with the 4 wheel drive. Show, drive or parade ready.”

“I’m listing my 1942 Ford GPW WWII Jeep. It was a complete frame off restoration. There may be 2000 miles on a complete rebuild motor. It’s coming all set up for the winter months. It has an early made Arctic top made just for the WWII jeeps, and I’ve installed a heater for the cold winter days. The drivers seat os adjustable so that big guys can drive it. I’m 6’5″ and would have had to drive with the steering wheel imbedded in my stomach. It has 4 brand new 600×16 military tires on it. A new paint job and a spare gas can that is dated 1942 to match the year of the Jeep. I’m asking $9000 to me it’s worth much more but with the economy the way it is I thought I would be realistic. If you’ve gone to any Car shows around southern maine you’ve seen this jeep with a big machine gun on it. NO the gun doesn’t go with it.”

“For-Sale 1946 Willys CJ2a Jeep W/Trailer. This Jeep was my father’s retirement project. It’s all original, transmission shifts good, runs good. Everything works. Has a white vinyl top, also has the rear bench seat. The only issue is the brakes, it has a nice high brake pedal but doesn’t stop very good. The trailer is painted to match the jeep. The trailer has a hand brake which works good also. The tires on the Jeep are good. I even have the original 600-16 tires for it”

New battery, new alternator, rebuilt carburator. No leaks, no rust, no doors, no heater, no power anything. I previously invested over $7000 in this, but then it sat in a barn for ten years. It’s running like new again, but the tires are old, and it still needs brake work. This is a turn-key, mostly complete, running jeep for the price of a project jeep. Clean title, but currently registered non-op. Make offer.”

The seller believes this was the original body, but it looks more like a repo body to me. Also, there’s been a good deal of welding along the passenger front frame rail and along the underside of the driver’s side rail, which could indicate the original rails weren’t in good condition. Also note the modified transmission undercarriage.

(03/26/2011) “I have a 64′ willys wagon in excellent ORIGINAL condition. 230 tornado Straght six with a 3 speed tranny and 4×4. Excellent interior, motor runs great, 4×4 works great, almost new tires. Very nice willys. $5500 obo.”

Over $8500 invested with receipts. Only issue is MINOR rear main oil leak-call for details. Sacrificing. The pictures do not do it justice-this is a must see to appreciate. Must sell before April 15th.”
