1965 CJ-3B Winfield, MO **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-3B • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: Was $6500.

(06/07/2012) This looks like a nice rig.  The later model CJ-3Bs rarely pop up for sale.  Over the last four years I’ve spotted around 10 1965 CJ-3Bs on Craigslist.  Only 3 of them were stock and this nice.  This is missing the spare tire holder on the passenger side.

“1965 Jeep Willy’s CJ3: ALL ORIGINAL, NEW TOP, FULLY RESTORED, ALL ENGINE AND ACCESORIES REBUILT AND RUNS EXCELLENT!!! THIS JEEP IS READY TO DRIVE HOME AND FIRES RIGHT UP WITH THE TWIST OF A KEY, ALL PAINT INSIDE AND OUT LOOKS BRAND NEW, NO RUST AND OVERALL VERY GOOD CONDITION. 4X4 WORKS GREAT AND THIS MODEL IS THE ONE WITH A PTO TRANSFER CASE TO ADD ATTACHMENTS TO (POST HOLE DIGGER, GENERATOR, SAW MILL, ETC. ETC.) ALL THE COOL THINGS JEEP MADE FOR THIS HANDY LITTLE TRUCK! WOULD SUGGEST TRAILERING IF YOU PLAN ON DRIVING FAR DUE TO THE FACT THESE DO NOT GO VERY FAST ON THE HIGHWAY, BUT IT DOES DRIVE NICE AND STRAIGHT WITH PLENTY OF POWER!”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000.

Except for the front bumper, this looks like a nice stock CJ-3A. If the floor boards are solid this might be a good buy.

1946 VEC CJ-2A Acton, Ca **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A • TAGS: , , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE.  Was $12,500 **SOLD**

(05/21/2012) Note the golf cart story 🙂

“1946 Willys CJ-2A Jeep Very Early Civilian (VEC) Outstanding Condition!  This restored gem may be the cleanest ’46 you have ever seen.  No rust, no problems, everything works, it steers and stops like it did when new.  Has recent new master cylinder installed.  New exhaust system.  Even the grase fittings have been replaced.  6 volt battery is 1 year old.  Engine and transmission have been rebuilt and work great!  Fires right up and goes.  No smoke or missing.  Vehicle has been in our local Independence Day Parade 4 years in a row and gets lots of applause.  This is a real head turner.  Has small dent on driver’s side top bow holder where ex-girlfriend’s disobiedient son ran into it with my golf cart.  Jeep is here-they are gone!  I am turning my attention to other vehicle restorations and can’t keep them all.

Engine # is CJ2A 102908. I will throw in a rough colum shift assy I got from another Jeep, although it may not be complete. I do not have the top bows or any other accessories.”

1954 Austin Champ Birmingham, Mi **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: Other 4x4s • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $29000

As a former owner of three of these, I can attest to their lack of value.

“Austin was commissioned to build the Champ to replace WWII Willys Jeeps in the British Military service. It is powered by a modular Rolls-Royce engine that produces 80 horsepower. The engine is linked to a 5 speed synchromesh transmission that has no integral reverse gear, drive being taken by the propshaft to a rear transaxle which incorporated a reverse mechanism that acted on all five ratios and is controlled by a separate lever. The suspension is fully independent double wishbones with a longitudinal torsion bar and telescopic hydraulic damper at all four wheels.

Recently, over $8,000 was spent replacing all the axle seals and gaskets for the front and rear differentials. The front and rear shocks were also replaced and the entire undercarriage and suspension was cleaned, undercoated, and detailed.]”
