Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1982 Jeep Scrambler rebuild. Chevy Vortec 5.7. Turbo 400 Auto. BeCool aluminum radiator. Currie 9 inch front and rear with ARB air lockers. Four wheel power disc brakes. 38 gallon aluminum fuel tank. Dual Optima batteries with battery isolator. Full fiberglass body. In cab roll cage and stock roll bar all tied to frame. Superwinch 9000 winch. Dana 300 Transfer Case with twin stick shifter. Corbeau Seats tied to roll cage. Very few parts remain from original jeep. Frame, transfer case, gauges etc. Comes with 1966 M416 jeep trailer.”

“Great condition, no rust..original engine,3 speed manual..4 wheel drive.. restored a few years ago..alot of upgrades and changes..the original cj2a had the tire on the side..I moved it to the back to resemble a military version..added the military bumpers, lights, new hand made canvas top, and have the back end of the top to enclose the back..I have the military tires as well.its painted battleship gray, also.its been upgraded from a 6 volt system to a 12volt..we built custom mounts for the shovel and axe, a compressor box on the driver’s side, custom tie downs..painted accents and customized details..it’s truly one of a kind..we also mounted the military handles and bumpers, gun mount on the dash.added a roll bar for safety and athstetics.we also installed a tow bar, and new battery, brand new tires and rims..runs great.always stored inside”

Maury shared this nicely restored CJ-5, but it it’s not cheap. This also appears to have some rare Cutlas Bulldog hubs.
“Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this fully restored 1959 Willys Jeep CJ-5. After WWII, Willys smartly capitalized on the success of their military Jeeps and began producing a ”Civilian Jeep” – or CJ – and the rest is history. This ”Universal Jeep,” as it was marketed at the time, was a huge hit and over 600,000 CJ-5s were produced from 1954 to 1983 – but few have been restored to this standard.
This CJ-5 was used as a grounds service vehicle for a drive-in movie theater in Cleveland, Ohio before being discovered and purchased in 2010 by a gentleman who embarked on a frame-off, nut-and-bolt restoration to exacting standards. The original tub was deemed to be too far gone to practically restore so a new steel tub was sourced from Willys-Overland Motors in Toledo, OH. The original fenders, hood, grille and windshield frame were in good condition and were retained for originality. The frame was media blasted and detailed. The correct President Red paint is excellent outside, inside and under the hood and the body is super straight.

“1952 M-38 95% restored. If you are looking for a fun collector car, or if you like to have people wave as you drive down the road, this is the jeep for you.
M38 was a Korean War era Jeep that was only in production for 2.5 years. Original Body tub. All wires redone front to back. New gauges, gauge cluster, exhaust, fuel lines, fuel tank, brakes, new original wheels, new tires, upholstery, windshield, windshield seal, pintle hook, antenna, starter, solenoid, carburetor rebuild, new air intake, pioneer gear (axe/shovel). I have original data plate, and paint for touch up. This is great in a parade or to advertise your business!
I have clean title, so you dont have to worry about inspection or anything.
The only thing not original on this jeep is that it was converted to 12 volt (regular battery works) and we added seat belts and turn signals, and a horn that makes a fun sound.
I have had in the family for 30 years. Only selling, because I am tired of having too much stuff and I just dont drive it enough to enjoy it like I used to.
