About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1951 Willys M-38, everything gone thru, no rust anywhere, new paint, decals, 2 new front tires, gauges, brakes, exhaust, everything works. only reason i’m selling is I found slightly newer Jeep similar to one i drove in Army, don’t have room for two.”
(11/18/2018) This appears to have an M-38 body. The rebuilder did a nice job of creating an installation panel for the the large speedometer.
“1951 CJ3 Jeep Restored ~This is a factory 225 Dauntless V6 engine with lots of power this is a three speed transmission, we never tried the 4 wheel drive, the jeep starts right up and drives like would expect a vintage jeep, it does have power steering added but not power brakes. There’s a lot of new parts including brakes, all lights, alternator radiator shocks belts gas tank etc, all the canvas is brand new and easily removable in a few minutes, includes 2 new canvas doors, newer seats with seat belts battery garage kept and was only in the rain by mistake for 5 minutes since restored,
we purchased this as a prop for our business and now we are moving on, this jeep is a real eye catcher at any event, certainly not a smooth ride like a new jeep but a lot of fun to drive. The gauges are not entirely hooked up, all the lights work including the 4 ways, the horn works as well. There is no rust, it has tow loops on front bumper and easy to remove tail gate… if wanted there is also mounts and latch to ad rear seat.”

“1953 Willys military jeep m38a1
I’ve owned this jeep for 2 years , was restored 15 years ago by previous owner, i’ve only driven it a few times to car shows & parades, currently plated & insured. I don’t drive it enough to keep it. It’s a 7 on a scale from 0 to 10.
A lot was done when restored,
new tires (5)
new complete wiring harness
has canvas top on it now but has complete new full canvas included ( top, doors, sides )
military paint with military markings
new drive line parts, tie rods, u-joints, brake lines, radiator
many take off parts that were saved when replaced
new batteries with battery tender & master disconnect switch”
