Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Josh is selling this very complete GPW. He provides a very complete description along with more than 100 photos of it on ebay. If he says it you can trust it is true.
“You are bidding a 1945 FORD GPW serial number 272179 ALL NUMBERS do match; Frame, motor, and original glove box data plate. The Jeep does run, drive and stop. This jeep is what I’d call an older soft restoration (basically just a paint job, canvas, and mechanical attention where needed). It is incredibly complete and incredibly original. Really this one is a true survivor…..”

This is a good looking CJ-3A. The seller is a bit off with the note regarding this as the ‘last year of production of the WWII model.

“This is a “must see” 51 willys. Finished in John Deere green. Black interior. 4.3 V-6,4 gear,power steering and power brakes,rancho shocks. Has complete reese hitch tow package. Full gauge cluster. Its “BRAND NEW”. Also have the original full aluminum top with doors etc. Have a thick picture book of the build from step one. Drive it anywhere!! Its also very much a “Show Jeep”. Jeep lovers dont miss this one!!!”

“I have a 1943 Ford GPW jeep for sale ” The Original Jeep” I have painted it and done some minor repairs to it over the past few years. It has a 134 Flathead motor and it is very reliable!!!! Before I bought the jeep the previous owner sent the block to a shop to have it completely rebuilt. It has approximately 4000 miles miles on the motor and I had rebuilt the transmission and transfer case and drove it for the past 1500 miles. There is a few cancer issues with the jeep but that is kind of expected for a vehicle of this age. I had replaced the shackle’s for the springs and converted it to a 12 volt alternator system. Serious inquiries only please.”
