“1964 Kaiser Jeep FC170 restored and in excelent condition. All work done since January, 2009. New paint inside, outside, and under, including the bed and frame. Reconditioned Super Hurricane, flat head, 6 cylinder, L226 engine with new everything, including radiator, clutch, and wiring harness. 12 volt. Rebuilt T90, 3 speed, trans. with warn overdrive and Ramsey dual output PTO. Reconditioned Dana 53 and Dana 44 with locking hubs, 4.10 gears and spicer 18. Brakes are all new everything, including drums. Steering is new or rebuilt and tight. Tires are new Commercial Traction TA’s. New 1 ton rear Leaf Springs. Electric/hydrolic 6×10 steel flatbed dump with custom fold down sides works perfect. New seat upholstry and rubber matting in cab. Everything works as it should. Runs and drives perfect. Will do 70 mph. in overdrive and crawl less than 1 mph. in low. I’ve carried 3500 lbs. and dumped it fine. These pics were taken prior to completion.”

“For sale is a 1951 Willy’s Jeep CJ3. It has a Buick 231 V6 conversion with the master cylinder mounted on the firewall. It has the earlier wind shield, new brake shoes, new wheel cylinders, new master cylinder, new fuel pump, new alt, new water pump, new fuel tank, new radiator core, new steering wheel. The rear oil seal on the engine has a leak and the front fenders have seperations that need to be welded back together. Please call Mike (916) 834-9056.”

“This is the Willys Jeep that we have for sale. It is a 1951 2WD wagon & it still has it’s original L-Head (Flat head) engine. It has a new hwad gasket & ARP head studs. It also has a slightly more modern carburator. The transmission is the original 3-speed & it is equipped with the optional factory overdrive. The tires are new. The paint looks nice from a reasonable distance (I painted it & I am not a professional by any means) The seats have been redone & so has the headliner. If you are looking for a runnig classic to really turn some heads (& tinker with a bit) – this is it!”

When someone lists a jeep as ‘professionally restored’, it is only natural that I’ll examine it a little more closely.  It appears sound, but sports an early CJ-2A grille, doesn’t have the bow holders, and is missing, as best as I can tell, windshield wipers.  The custom looks nice.  The strangest issue, in my mind, is that there is white paint around the edges of the gauges (probably just taped off the gauges), which doesn’t look all that professional to me.

“Your are looking at my 1947 Willys CJ3A that has been turned into the ultimate trail/rock buggy with the ability to cruise safely at freeway speeds all day long. It started as a 47 CJ then we stretched the frame 6″ for stability, put a Y modified 4 link with limit straps in the rear, flipped brand new leafs in the front (this is how street ability was kept….no bouncing here!). We put in hydraulic ram steering to make turning those 39″ pitbull tires effortless. Dana’s front and rear (locked), twin stick Spicer 20 transfer case with Warn overdrive unit, rock crushers, allied bead locked wheels, new 39″ pitbull tires, disc bakes up front, NEW Vortec 4.3L fuel injected crate engine, headers, magnaflow exhaust, extreme built TH350 tranny, Ron Davis Twin cooling system, Fuel cell with Holley Red pump, all cases vented, under hood back up mechanical gauges, fully intregated roll structure etc. Way to much to list. This was built with the best of the best, you will not simply break anything on this rig. Price is somewhat firm. I will look at all trades. Reason for selling: Local State trooper is stalking me for no mud flaps!!! Rig is in Idaho, but I have family in the bay area and can get it there no problem…”
