This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “All original 1947 CJ2A Jeep with some mechanical restoration but remaining stock. New wheels and tires added. Original wheels available. Engine and transmission are all original and in excellent condition. Body had no rust, was media blasted and painted original blue. Everything works well. “Runs good, i drove it around town before it got t o cold. Everything works but a couple of the gauges and brake lights. I’ve put everything from plugs and wires to carb. rebuild, bearings in the front end, hoses and belts, lights. Gas tank rusted out so i put a plastic one in for now. “1948 Jeep Willy’s CJ2A. This jeep has been fully restored around 10 yrs ago. It had 10,000 dollars put into it. It is in extremely good shape and virtually rust free. The paint is still in excellent shape. It has been converted over to 12VDC so as to make it easier to start, especially in cold weather. It has a flathead 4cyl, and runs excellent. The 4 wheel drive works great and shifts smooth. The gear ratio is 5:38. It has been stored indoors. The only trades I am interested in would be a 3/4 to 1 ton 4X4 truck either chevy, gmc, or dodge. Of equal value.

(08/26/2010) According to the seller, this is a factory built Veep. This is one of the nicer Veeps I’ve seen.
“This is a factory built Veep. They were built from 1979 to 1981. It is an all metal CJ3 body on a really tough square tube chassis with all VW running gear. Really well done and well constructed. Drives smoothly like a VW and not like a jeep CJ3. It is the ultimate ride for street or off road. Would make a great hunting buggy. Will go most anywhere without much effort. I have owned the veep for over 20 years and it has always been stored inside. The bottom of the car is as clean as the top. It has a soft top, frame and doors. The car was appraised about a year ago for insurance purposes at $12,200.00. I am asking $9,250.00 for the car and will look at all offers. Need the storage space.”
It is pretty custom.
