These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (07/02/2010) This looks nice. The seller suggests this is in show quality condition. If the restoration really is that nice, this might be a good price.
“1960 Willys 2WD Station Wagon, Stock, Rebuild Original 6 cylinder engine with overdrive and kick down. Very rare, in good driving condition, body in excellent shape, but rust in lower back of car. Excellent condition for show quality restoration. Includes binder with interesting advertisements and literature from 1960.”
This looks like a solid back consistent with some DJ-3As. I’m assuming this has been modified with 4wd?

“1950 Willys CJ-3A 4×4. Original L4-134 Engine – rebuilt – very low mileage on rebuild. Takes regular unleaded fuel. 3 speed transmission. New/rebuilt steering components and E-brake. New tires, battery, alternator, fuel pump, fuel gauge, fuel sending unit, and voltage meter. Best Top “Tiger Top” soft top. Lots of love and care put into this vehicle. Good overall condition and runs good on or off road. A must see! Approximately $11,000.00 invested into restoring this vehicle.”
From the website, “The first fire truck was a 1956 Willys Jeep, donated by the Hubbards Fire Department. Due to its limited water tank capacity of 200 gallons, a water tanker was also needed. A 1947 Ford with an oil tank was added to the fleet before year end, this also being donated from the Hubbards department. Records show that a new portable pump was purchased for $600.95 with monies raised by door to door canvassing, raffles, and bake sales. Additional equipment was purchased to outfit the new department and to make modifications to the old school house building to house the “new” trucks. With the support of a community, the men of the department answered a total of eight alarms their first year, all of which were fires.”
Bob wrote, “Here’s a shot of the Jeep they have down at Malabar Farm near Mansfield, Ohio. Every Sept there is a small gathering of Jeeps there. Louis Bromfield, the property’s former owner, had several Jeeps on the farm during his lifetime. He used them to get around the farm, along with his dog, to supervise farm operations. As a side note, Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall were married in the main house on the farm on May 21, 1945.”
“The Jeep runs great. I’ve had this for several months, and it was (and is), a fun little toy to drive — definitely a head-turner! Just a few days ago, the Jeep experienced a problem of getting out of 1st gear. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I’m not a mechanic, so I had a someone do a visual inspection, and he informed me that the transmission will need to be dropped and checked out.”
This is a nice looking Wagon. There are a few very minor issues with it.
“I bought this all original wagon in 2004 from wagonmaster.com about five years ago. When I bought the wagon it was advertised as having a “freshly rebuilt Hurricane 6 engine” and I am the third owner.
It is a very fun and wonderful wagon. The color combination of gold (khaki) and president red (an original Willy’s color) are a stunning combination. I get comments on it all of the time. The other day I drove it to work (four miles from my house) and I got two thumbs up on the freeway and a “shout out” from a young lady who professed love for my Willy’s! This happens all of the time.
I will, occasionally, rent my cars out for advertising photo shoots. This past fall Lands End used my wagon for the cover page of their nationally distributed Christmas catalog. I am told Lands End received a lot of inquiries about the Willy’s itself and if it was for sale….”
(07/15/2010) This is one of those odd title situations — I can understand on a non op why an owner might delay getting a title, but I don’t understand it on a vehicle that is driven around …
“1960 Willys wagon, 2 wheel drive. Converted to a bone stock Chevy 350 V8, auto trans & Chevy 10 bolt rear end, (not a Mickey Mouse job). Has “I” beam front drop axel, rack & pinion power steering, drum brakes all around, BMW wheels, new tires, tilt front body, new carpet, FM CD player, reverse arched front leaf springs, lowering blocks in rear, surf boards & racks, redwood headliner, dual quiet Flowmaster type mufflers, electric & stock engine fans. no leaks anywhere! Temp does not get above 160. Runs like a champ! This is NOT a show car, but what a blast to drive! I have the title, but it is still in previous owners name. It has been signed off and I have bill of sale from him. I will also give bill of sale. Tags good through Oct. Question? Please ask! …..
