About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Classic Jeep Willys model CJ-3B for parts or a project vehicle. Not sure on the exact year, if you have a trailer come and pick it up.
Don’t know how long it has been at the field edge, doesn’t run.”
(08/12/2020) Marty spotted this rare (only one of two according to the seller) Krisit Company KT-4G Snow Cat. It uses a CJ-5 body with a Meyer hardtop.
Perfect item for a snowcat collector who’s looking for a unique snowcat or a very rare Kristi cat, and Yes… this is a Jeep CJ cab on it, which makes it all that better and more rare – fitting in with your Jeep collection as well.
Running engine when parked few years ago, tracks still got life in them if one wanted to simply get it started and run it for a season or more. Some rust on floor pans, but nothing that cant be quickly fixed/repaired for upcoming seasons use, or put this machine through a proper restoration and make it a museum peace for everyone to envy.
Its very complete with all of the original parts, rest can be easily purchased at most auto-part stores.
Unit is not oversized, thus making it easy to transport and deliver”
“This is a 1971 Jeep (Postal Jeep) running on top of a 1993 Suburban 4×4 Big Block drivetrain… This is an unfinished project that I’m not going to have time to finish… The mechanicals are done and it runs and drives… Strong 454ci engine with TBI fuel injection and custom stand alone computer and engine wiring… Heavy duty 4L80E Trans… Dual exhausts… Power steering… Hydroboost brake system…
The Suburban drivetrain was from the limited edition version with the 1-Ton suspension and was low mileage… The whole thing is covered in Aluminum attached with hundreds of rivets… I have full pictures of it being built including pics the the removal/installation of the Suburban and Jeep bodies… Title is clean and registered on a non-op as a 1971 Jeep (so no smog)… This thing has had lots of hand fabrication work done to it that for the price I’m asking I will never get back!… If you’re looking for a completely unique project that is cheap and had most of the hard stuff done then my loss is your gain… There is a lot more done to it than you see in the pictures! Dan bought this jeep for the hardtop and plans to put it up for sale. As is with no Oregon title it is $1600 (parts jeep). Once he goes through the paperwork to give it an Oregon title, he plans to raise the price to $2000. The body is a unique wood kit. You can contact him at 971 704 1045 for more info or bosmate @ gmail.com (remove spaces around @).
Dan shared this ad. The seller of this jeep told Dan that his father bought a wood kit from Sears or Montgomery to make a wood body; this is the result. I searched my Sears and Montgomery catalogs, but couldn’t locate a body repair kit (but I don’t have all the old catalogs). Dan got some close of up pics which are at the bottom of this post.
“1948 Willys CJ2a Jeep. Was my dads jeep but he passed away recently. He had hopes to get it runnig and driving again as he used to drive it on his property 20 years ago. Needs work. Engine missing carb, distributor and starter. I don’t know where he put those, also I can’t seem to find the title for it so no title (unfortunately)…selling as parts.
The jeep has a wooden body from the mid body seam to the rear (forward body is original metal). My dad bought a kit to make the wooden body from sears or montgomery wards many years ago. I assume he did this due to rust in the rear body floors. It’s done very well as the kit included supports and corners. The frame and other parts are solid and only have surface rust. I was going to get this going again and purchased a rare Koening hard top for it which I will sell seperately if the new owner desires it. Also the jeep includes a nice roll bar which is not installed.”
“Perfect for someone wanting to restore an old classic. Obviously needs work. Very confident the engine will still run. In its non-running life it’s spent most of its life under cover.”
