UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8295

DP spotted this unusual CJ-5 with a custom built popup camper.

“1974 Jeep CJ5 with a custom pop up camper shell built by Phoenix pop up in Denver.
The Jeep has recently been painted and is in very good condition, it has a 232 inline 6 cylinder, 3 speed manual transmission and locking front Warn hubs and it rides on 35″ tires. The chassis wiring has all been completely redone as well as the upholstery.
The camper shell sleeps 2, it has storage for all of your gear and is set up for propane and self contained water. If you are interested in the camper let me know and we can discuss a price.
This is a fun Mountain vehicle but could also be used for hunting.”

Bill’s Report From Alaska

• CATEGORIES: Features • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Bill filed a report on his trip to Alaska.

He writes, “Back from Alaska – assumption going, it would be the land of 4 wheel drives and lots of jeeps old and new.  Reality – the Toyota sedan is the vehicle of choice, Jeeps on the road from Fairbanks to Seward numbered about 2 dozen – none Willys era.  Bubba lives up there – see the M38A1 grafted to a Willys wagon, the Willys truck with a Ford or Chevy bed and the Willys truck with wire wheels.  There was a CJ3B fire truck I saw.

1946 CJ-2A Sturgeon Bay, WI **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.

Buzz found this crazy looking CJ-2A.

“1946 Willys jeep with an old school repower. Has a 1950’s flathead ford engine, this jeep ran three years ago but needed a pull to get started. One head was removed to inspect the cylinders. It looks like this motor may have the original bore but is ready for a rebuild. The distributer was removed and is missing. I will throw one in if I can find one in the shed. The body behind the firewall is made of plywood and fiberglass, it was nicely made but alot of the wood should be replaced if you choose to keep it as is. Original jeep dash and front sheet metal is in good condition. The frame is mostly solid but does have some issues at the front of the rear leaf springs and it has been notched for the steering gear to clear the engine. The engine is coupled to the jeep transmission with a rare adapter. Will be sold with a clear 1956 Willys title. The buyer will have 30 days to pick it up, if you send a trailer I can help load.”

Another Usual Jeep from the Big Island

• CATEGORIES: Features, MB • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Bill from Lime Street Carriage spotted this jeep siting on the side of the road south of Kona in the Captain Cook area of the Big Island of Hawaii. This is similar to several other oddly shaped jeeps near Captain Cook, HI,  (here and here) that have been for sale. There was no for sale sign on the one below.

It sure seems likely that someone built all of these.
