Mario shared this photo of a highly modified jeep on Facebook. “A field modified up-armored jeep from the 17th Airborne Division, ca. 1944.”
Bill shared this customized DJ-5 with a Ford Model A feel. Even stranger, it has two steering wheels! It is weirdly awesome!

“If the posting is active then YES, IT IS STILL FOR SALE……. If you only ask that, then I will respond with “NO”. Ex-Postal jeep converted to a Ford Model A type vehicle. It is two wheel drive and has the inline 6 motor with an automatic transmission. The motor is currently stuck from sitting. IT IS NOT RUNNING. Yes it has two steering wheels. It’s a Left hand drive car. The right side steering wheel is not connected to anything. It is in rough shape but has good bones and would be a fun project. I picked it up as a cool project car and I don’t have time to work on it. I have oiled cylinders with marvel oil and have not tried to turn it over since. NO TITLE BILL OF SALE ONLY.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6500.
There seems to be an MB or GPW under this Ford cab.

“This is a project with about $12,000.00 invested in parts and a lot of labor. This was ment to be a pick up and would be a cool finished vehicle. Working out of state has made it impossible for the owner to finish. The cab and chassis has a used v6 engine, front and rear end. The trans. is a 350 turbo rebuilt with truck internals. The transfer case is a Dana 300 rebuilt. The springs are new. The wheels and tires are used, but there is a new set of wheels. There is also a Buick rebuilt long block and rebuilt Dana 44 front and rear Axles. The front has a Detroit locker and Warn hubs. Two pallets of parts used and new. Selling as parts/ project w/ title.
I would like to sell as a package, but may consider offers as parts.”
This body has been customized in an unusual way as part of a rebuild.

“Willys Jeep rolling chassis with custom built aluminum body unique vehicle one of a kind just don’t got time to finish it. No motor, trans, or title. Great condition for being from ww2 would make great frame to restore a gpw or finish it as it is.”
UPDATE: Here’s an additional photo. It was posted to the Toledo Region History and Memorabilia Facebook Page by Nelson Shaffer, who found the photo at the UAW Local 12 Office in Toledo.

1. The first one is a 6×6 vehicle. It was made into an actual vehicle. I don’t know what happened to it. I’m pretty sure I have a press photo fo this vehicle somewhere, but I can’t seem to find it. This very well could be on the same platform as other 6x6s of the era.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500. This has Suncruiser stamped on the dash.
Merlin shared this DJ-5 with an unusual fiberglass replacement body on Facebook. One person thinks the body is a “Bum-Vee” body, but I couldn’t confirm that. Anyone recognize this body? It reminds me of the Parmley body.
