“1947 Willys CJ-2A Jeep for sale – $10,000 obo
Title in hand
Mostly original; some parts replaced or upgraded:

1. New Tires (original style) installed.
2. Wheel lugs reversed to match current directional method of bolt tightening.
3. New Gas Tank.
4. Converted from 6-volt to 12-volt battery system.
5. New exhaust
6. Seats recovered.
7. New Shocks
8. New Steering Column
9. New Brakes
10. New Leaf Springs

Jeep starts and runs great. There is a minor electrical short in left rear turn signal, otherwise electrical system is fine. Granny gear will pull like a mule.

This jeep will make a great hunting vehicle!”

“This is a georgous one of a kind willy jeep. Fully restored to orginal condition. Backseat is removeable, has tailgate, pinto hitch, drop down winsheild. Also comes with original tires and rims. 5 coats of paint plus clear coat. Original 4 cyclinder with overhead cam. 9 speed plus reverse. 3 high, 3 high/low, 3 low. Absolutly beatiful. 
Special built falcon trailer insulated. It wont sweat. 16′ x 8 1/2′. Ball size 2 5/8.

“For sale a 1962 USMC M170 long wheel base. This a USMC Barstow ambulance/radio jeep thats in good condition with no rust. Runs and drives. New military jeep tires and wheels along with a new spare tire carrier and gerry can holder. New complete original stock muffler system. New speedometer and cable. New oil pressure line and gauge. New battery. All fluids have been replaced. Brakes are good and steering is good too. Prior owner rebuilt the engine.”

This 1942 GPW was listed for $500 in May of 2012 in Azusa, California. It was quickly purchased and sent to England where Chris got a hold of it and transformed it back into an original looking GPW. An antiques dealer in old garden classics, he seems to know a few things about old jeeps, too. He’s forwarded some photos so we can see the before and after pics.

Chris was wondering if anyone was familiar with the 51st Defense Battalion? I found this link and this link, but if anyone has additional information, he’d like to know more.

Here is the original ad:
“$500 OBF
This is a Ford produced version of the Willys MB “Jeep”
Forced to Sell. Neighborhood Association says it can no longer stay parked under our carport.
No current tags. It’s been on a CA DMV NON OP since the 90s.
Body in fairly good shape. Looks like it was never repainted. Military marking on left side of body:
51st D.B.
Not Running. Missing starter. Bad Water pump.
Has tow bar.”

“I’ve decided to sell my restored 1963 FC170 Jeep Wrecker, the restoration was done in 2009 the replacement cab came from Arizona and the box was completely rebuilt by myself, all of the drive train is in great working order It has a 6 cylinder engine, 3 speed transmission, Dana 44 front and rear differentials the wrecker was built by Jack Heil company out of Chicago Il. “1958 Jeep Forward Control (FC150). Looks good, see pictures. Starts, Runs, Drives, Stops. Has been displayed at Car Shows. A good candidate for full Restoration. Wrecker Crane can be removed as one piece. Have Tailgate. New Battery. Original 4 Cylinder Engine. Driveable as-is, but could use work on following items: Seats, Door Locks, Window Wipers and possibly other items. I am not a mechanic.”
