Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1951 Willys Military Model 38. This jeep is in excellent condition with no rust on the body. The transmission is tight-shifting and will not pop out of second gear. The five tires are in great condition and has a hard top and doors. A tow bar and bows for a soft top are included.”

This has likely been sitting since I was in high school. That’s a long time!
“Selling this for a friend… old original civilian jeep… hasn’t ran in a long time. Last tagged in ’82, has the original 4 cyl engine and trans. Only thing missing is the air breather and the rear drive shaft. Does have some typical rust in the floors and the rear bed area. But it’s all complete and ready for a restoration! We do have a title and are trying to locate it right now. If we can’t find it we’ll file for a lost title. $2200 obo. Email me for more info or questions.”

It has new marine grade vinyl on the original seat pans. New Military grade tires with less than 100 miles. Original 6 volt system that works like a charm. Includes the original frames for top. New fuel tank and sending unit installed 6 months ago. This WILLYS will turn heads and be very enjoyable for anyone! Interested buyers only. Reasonable offers will be considered.”
