About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“The jeep has been in the family since 1962 and it has been kept under cover except for a couple years. I had a custom made car cover over it most of the time it was not under cover. The top is fairly new and still in very good condition.”
“1946 WILLYS JEEP A TRUE SURVIOR. WAS ON A RANCH IN SOUTHERN CA FOR ABOUT 40 YEARS. HAS THE A GPW 4CLY ENGINE. IT APPEARS TO BE ORIGINAL. AND IT RUNS. HAS NON OP WITH PINK SLIP. HAS RUST ISSUES AND NEEDS TOTAL RESTORATION. BEST OFFER POSSIBLE TRADE.”
(11/10/2013) “1952 CJ3A Willys Jeep
Nicely restored in 2004. Body off restoration, new tub, professional paint job. I have driven about 20,000 miles since the restore, all back roads and highway. I restored to show at local car shows and enjoy putting around in the Mother Lode area of Sierra’s. New tires, runs great, very reliable. There is an original Ramsey Winch with spool, a rear power take off unit to run it, also works great. Clean California registration and Title. Must see to appreciate. Please call for details of the restoration. I will consider reasonable offers.
This currently doesn’t run, but doesn’t look far away from running condition.
“1942 Willys MB Military Jeep
Current PA title.
Partially restored Willys MB, parts included to complete restoration.
This has a replacement body installed, Vintage Wiring of Maine wiring harness installed. New tires on CJ-2A rims. Original 6 volt system, newer battery. This has been sitting for a few years without much work done to it. It is currently not running, but has been on the road before. I am not going to be able to finish it the way it needs to be done. My loss is your gain, it is worth much more than I am selling it for.
Hood number 20253237 (estimated)
Frame number MB194202
Engine number 210564
Date of Delivery estimated December 8th, 1942”
This has the hinged grille, so likely an early M-38A1.
“I have an old military jeep that I have already stripped down to the frame ready for restoration, I would rather see it go to someone who has the time and knowledge to restore it back to original condition. Does have title but the title says it’s a 58, It does not have vin plate on the dash, It needs very little parts, body is in good condition, very little rust. Asking $800,or will do partial trade. 5&o_77five-79&&”
“This is a complete body off restoration. Over $6900.00 was spent finding the correct parts. Objective of restoration was to bring this military jeep to complete military specs as it was in 1951. Engine was completely rebuilt and runs perfect.
Comes with canvas top, sides, doors , correct tool kit, correct tire chains, and correct manual air pump.”
“This is an original unmodified military M38a1. (the civilian version was the Cj5)
Runs well. Less than 5,000 miles on rebuilt engine. Stops straight.
Registered. Clean title.
Has original data plates (indicates serial number/date of delivery).
Body is original. No body rot. No additional welding or cutting to the body anywhere. Nothing has been modified, with the exception of added turn signals, third brake light and the Warn all speed overdrive. (That’s an overdrive for each gear….nice to have since these military Jeeps from that era were geared a bit low).
The electrical system is correct at 24v along with the correct distributor, voltage regulator and generator. Springs are original.
Original/stock rims and NDCC tires. Not lifted.
Has 3 year old canvas winter top, no side curtains or doors included.
Has correct pintle trailer hitch.”
(06/28/2013) This looks good. It certainly is a DJ, but I’m less sure that it was a Surrey.
“1960 Willys DJ3A Jeep, in its former life it was a Surrey jeep. It is 2WD. Flat fender jeep. Only 1100 of these were made. Elvis Presley owned one, it is in his museum at Graceland. The engine was rebuilt by Benning Machine shop in Columbus, Ga. There is NO rust, both front floor pans were replaced. They originally had a Surrey top. I do not have the top, frame or original bumpers. I do have the original Wheel covers and front bumper pan. New gas tank, NOS Carter WO Carb, New electronic distributor. Steering does need to be tightened up, a common issue on these old jeeps. Serious buyers only Please, Respond to this Ad or call 706-763-ZeroNineThreeNine, It can be seen in Columbus, Ga.
Go to this website for more info on these jeeps http://www.jeepsurreygala.com there you can see what the jeep looked like originally.
