1946 VEC CJ-2A Kalaheo, HI **SOLD**

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,000

Looks like the column shift has been switched out. Looks solid otherwise.

Very clean 1946 Willys CJ2A. All original except an important upgrade to a dual reservoir master cylinder (for safety purposes). Excellent working condition, I have done all the work on it over the past 3 years… fairly extensive restoration and has been painted in its original colors; Pasture Green with Autumn Yellow wheels. Paint is not perfect 8/10. Body is rot free thought there are certain areas where rust was once a problem. No shakes or wobbles at speeds in excess of 60+ MPH. Flathead 4 cylinder is reliable, leak free and powerful. I use it the way it was intended to be used when it was built in 1946, it’s a work vehicle but it is maintained properly. No mechanical issues: holds good oil pressure, no overheating, 4wd works, etc.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $18,000.

This was featured in a Jeep magazine of some type.

“1948 Willys Jeepster Overland in Ferrari Red. 161-CUBIC-INCH 6-CYLINDER ENGINE. Featured in Jeep owners magazine 2006 volume 4 issue 1 “My Vintage JEEP vehicle” with the still current owner that I am helping sell the JEEPSTER for.

Here is a link to over 80 pics;
http://s700.photobucket.com/user/VWpartsRus/slideshow/48%20Willys%20Jeepster
Restoration was done prior to 2006. All the chrome was done and shows nicely. At that time all was pretty well sorted out there were a few minor details that were not completed in the restoration which I was going to complete for the owner but due to personal circumstances I had to close up shop and was unable to complete these minor details. For the last couple years or so the Jeepster has be in storage. I have manuals and some odds and ends parts a spare tire cover that matches interior in red and white. Engine runs very nice. I last drove it around town about a year ago and it drove well, straight and brakes were good. Well I pulled it out of storage and took the Jeepster for a drive. As any older car thats not been used for a wile I started loosing brake pedal so the seals/cylinders well need to be checked. Check ALL the pictures they tell the story. Pretty much rust free undercarrige and pans. The only place I saw of concern is at where the back bumper area meets the body there is some small surface bubbles. see pics.
Here is what is needed or negatives
Brakes need sorting
Fuel gauge in-op
Shift linkage is a little lose, adjustment.?
Horn in-op
Convert top latches need attention”

1952 M-38 Flintstone, GA **SOLD**

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,000.

Looks like a good jeep.

I have for sale a 1952 Willys M38. It was restored about 6 months ago, but I would say it is 98% done. What I mean is it has no decals on it, no add-ons, etc. I wanted to keep it “base” form so whoever bought it can take it and put there personal touches on it. This is not a true M38 restoration. What I mean by that is it has been converted over to an alternator and 12-volt system, it has blinkers both front and rear, it has lockout hubs on the front axle, etc. Just a few little things that makes it easy on the owner and easy to take off down the road in.
This was a full frame-off restoration. Everything was sand blasted and re painted. The original tub was rusted far way beyond repair. I actually found a super-nice M38 tub that I picked up in Pennsylvania. The L-134 “Go Devil” engine was rebuilt with all new bearings are rings, etc. The T-90 transmission, Dana 18 transfercase, and both Dana axles also have all new bearings and seals. The gauges are all new, new wiring harness ($$$), new tires ($$$), new fuel tank ($$$), new exhaust, new driveshafts, new brakes, new seats, new weather stripping, new everything. It is really a nice Jeep. It does not have a top or a rear seat, I just never got around to getting those and I like having my dog ride in the back so I didn’t bother.

Like I said, it is 98% done. I literally “finished it” and took it home, it still has just a few kinks that need to be worked out. The fuel-sending unit and the fuel gauge are both new, but the fuel gauge isn’t registering. I just haven’t taken the time to check it. If it sits for a few weeks, it can be hard to start, it does have a choke but you almost have to choke it by hand and then it fires up, almost like the choke doesn’t choke it all the way. And lastly I did use the factory starter and it works pretty good, but it can act goofy from time to time, I should have just put a new one on it.
It really is a super-nice Willys M38. Not a 100% military restoration, but practical. I have only had it done for about 6 months now but I am just not that interested in it anymore. Plus, I am a big guy and these army Jeep are pretty cramped, I am just not comfortable in it. I have only put 15 miles on it since it was restored. I am asking $10,000 or best reasonable offer. This is a military vehicle, Bill of Sale only, no title. It is currently tagged in Georgia.”
