1941? GPW Emeryville, CA **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: GPW (Ford MB) • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: This sold quickly. It was priced at $5000.

“I am the second owner of this jeep (unless you count the U.S. government as the initial owner).

I recently inherited this jeep from my late uncle who operated it from WW2 until he died in 2011.

This jeep has spent the last 68 years garaged in the same garage in Marin County. It has seen extensive use with the volunteer fire department in the hills north of Lucas Valley during the 1950s – 1970s. In the 1980’s, it was re-painted and had restoration work done, new tires/radiator/gearbox/carb/gauges/brakes etc. For some reason, the engine and some parts are painted “John Deere Green”. For the last 20 years it has been used in parades and memorial/veterans day ceremonies.

My uncle served in New Guinea and the Phillipines during 1944 and 1945 with the 914th Engineers. This unit followed the “Fighting Fifth” Air Force in the Pacific. Their main job was to secure and repair forward air bases that had just been captured from the Japanese. He also did surveying, mapping, and construction of command headquarters, bunkers and fortifications in the mountainous regions. There’s no one currently alive in our family who can recall exactly how he acquired this jeep or if it was used in the conflict in the Pacific.

I have the pinkslip in hand (in my name) and it has plates. It is in the DMV system and currently registered as a NON-OP. I recently transported it from Marin to my place in Emeryville so I can clean it up and sell it.

It is free of rust. The tires are almost new with no cracking. The engine is stock with 6volt system. Right windshield has a crack. The engine starts and runs but won’t idle. (Carb issue?)

Seat upholstery might not be original. It has a mounted brand-new matching spare tire, jerry can and mounting brackets for the shovel and axe. (No shovel or axe included). There is a rifle holder mounted to the inside windshield. Windshield flips down. I even have keys for the fenderwell tool boxes.

I have it up on jackstands so potential buyers can see the wheels turn. It can’t be test driven on streets because there’s no brakes. Might need a brakes rebuild. Plus, it’s not currently registered for on-road nor is it insured. I can only sell it to someone who shows up with a hauler/trailer of flatbed hauler. It can’t be legally “towed” (with it’s tires touching the pavement).

This GPW comes with about 400 lbs of spare parts. Many of these parts are new. Plus it comes with some military uniform parts, helmet etc. Plus some printed memorabilia (reproductions) about the 914th Engineers.

First 5000.00 (CASH ONLY) takes it. Do not contact me unless you are personally interested in purchasing it directly and picking it up in person. Do not contact me if you are some middleman, broker or scammer. First come, first serve. First one who contacts me gets the first appointment to inspect it.”

• CATEGORIES: GPW (Ford MB) • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8000.

This appears solid.

“This jeep is a survivor, it has been garaged for the past 25 years and rarely driven. It is the perfect project for a full restoration, or drive it like it is. This jeep is 95 percent original and is currently registered in California. Shipping in the US only. Rebuilt engine 300 miles ago, new battery, carburetor, new fuel tank, hoses, wire harness, exhaust and muffler. The rear deck has been replaced and welded in. Has rear seat without mount. Rear seat and drivers seat done in canvas. Tires are fair and has spare. Starts and drives well. Two gauges are after market. All lights work except spot not wired. These are rare and would be great for any military collector. Price is firm. Thanks”

1947 CJ-2A Durango, Co For Trade

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

This appears solid and pretty stock.

“947 Jeep Willys with a snow plow. Runs good, drives good, snow plow works well. Snow plow powered by Chrysler power steering pump. Jeep has new plugs, wires, cap, rotor button, condenser, and points. Jeep also has new fuel pump. Jeep has new 6 volt battery but will not hold a charge. The top on the Jeep was replaced 4 years ago.(some seams are split overall top in fair condition). This Jeep is mechanically solid, I have plowed snow for the last 3 years with this Jeep at my home and for others in the neighborhood. The process to obtain a title has been initiated through the Colorado DMV. The title is clear. For this process to continue in Colorado, all lights have to be operational on the vehicle. The wiring is 60+ years old. In my opinion, it needs a complete new wiring harness. (Complete new wiring harness available at Kaiser Jeep Willys for $314). In addition to the Jeep, I also have 2 brand-new Firestone 6X16 military tread tires and 2 brand-new sets of military-issued tire chains. Snow plow has recently been painted and upgraded to all quick-release pins and all brand-new hydraulic hoses.

1949 CJ-3A Wilmington, OH **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-3A • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $9500.

(07/24/2012) “1949 Willys Jeep that had a frame off restoration 6 years ago. Driven around 3000 miles since restoration. 28984 miles on odometer. The tub and tailgate and hood are replacement. Body is rust free and nearly perfect. Garaged everyday since restoration. All original save for the body, wheels and two inch lift springs and shocks. I have the original springs to put it back to original stance and painted steel wheels that match the jeep w/ excellent tires although they are not the military all terrain tires that the jeep was originally issued. It is converted to 12 volt and there is a list of new parts too numerous to mention. Starts every time and runs like a dream. The wheels and tires alone are worth $1200.00 and have less than 1500 miles on them

1946 CJ-2A Hudson Valley, NY **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3400

(04/14/2013) This appears to have potential. It runs and drives.

“This is a 1946 Willys Jeep model CJ2A Universal. The body is very solid although it has had some patches done some time in its life. Drive it as is, or would make an easy restoration to factory original. It runs great and all the running gear works great. It does, however need brake work, electrical work, radiator service and some other misc. stuff. Currently registered in my name with transferable ownership available immediately. This Jeep is NOT ready for the road just yet, but it wouldn’t take much.”
