The paint on the driver’s side seems a little odd.  This has the ventilating windshield, the 2/3 1/3 seat, and only 18,000 miles.

“1960 Willy’s CJ5 Jeep, shows 18,000 miles. L-head Jeep engine, gone through on top end (valves). Starts, stops, and runs terrific…very dependable. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3200

“This is a nice origianl Willys Jeep. This had some retoration work done about 10 years ago. It is all original. The flathead 4 cylinder, T90 trans and spicer 18 TCase were all gone through and rebuilt by the Willys shop in Toledo Oregon. Everything was gone through. It runs and drives good, brakes all work, lights good. We have had a lot of fun with it in the summers. Interior is very nice. ”

1950 CJ-3A Comanche, Tx $1800

• CATEGORIES: CJ-3A • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

It goes, but doesn’t stop.  The seller gives a good description.

“Runs and has a Title! Would be a decent restoration candidate. I’ll describe the Jeep as best I can, if you have any questions, feel free to call anytime. (912) 980-7811.

I’ve owned this 1950 CJ3A for about 6 months, so I don’t know the complete history of the Jeep. But I’ve got it running decent now.

Engine: The original L-Head 134 four cylinder still resides in the Jeep and it runs pretty darn good. I’ve installed a new carburetor, new battery, new ignition components and it starts right up. The original 6V system is also still in place. The speedometer and fuel gauge do not work, I have no idea how many miles are actually on the Jeep. The odometer is stuck on 61K, which I think is probably not far off. It hasn’t been driven regularly in many years. The Ammeter, Oil pressure gauge and Temp gauge work. Oil pressure runs from 40-60 depending on RPM, Temp hovers around 180, and the Ammeter barely moves at all. Compression is a bit on the low side. The cylinders run 80, 80, 70, 70. I’ve installed a new Solex carburetor and it idles and revs nicely but it does run a tad rich, it probably needs re-jetting. Solex Carbs require 1-2 psi of fuel pressure while the stock mechanical pump puts out 3-4, so I’ve installed and adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I’ll also throw in the original Carter WO carburetor. It also retains the original starter button (stomp starter) in the floor board.

Transmission/Transfer Case: Still the original T90/Dana 18 combo. The transmission and TC will need to be gone through. They’re inherently noisy in perfect condition but this jeep’s drive train does produce a bothersome growl. But, 2wd and 4wd do work correctly. The clutch is good, I have replaced the clutch push rod. I also have spare TC and transmission parts to go with it.

The Body: The tub is in need of sheet metal work. It has the typical rust in the hat channels and the floor of the tub under the gas tank is rusted through. Otherwise its really not that bad compared to most vehicles of this age. The fenders are original and straight, the windshield frame has some surface rust. To be properly done, the windshield would need to be removed and the frame blasted or dipped for paint. I’ve wire wheeled the fenders and exterior of the Jeep and applied primer but I have not repaired any dents or rust holes. Overall, its fairly solid. The lights are not wired up. It does have decent taillights also. The best thing I can say about the seats is that they are present. The tires are a bit old and cracking but the tread is like new and they’ll be fine for the limited speed of the Jeep. I believe the original color of the Jeep is Luzon Red.

Brakes: The braking system is non-functional. But I’ve driven it on the dirt roads locally, I’ve probably put 50-60 miles on it the last few days. Its noisy, bouncy, and rugged but really fun to drive.

Steering: Lots of play!

Anyway, this would be a fun jeep to put around with on a ranch or it would be an easy restoration project for someone. I’m only selling because I’ve got other projects I need to focus on and I need to thin out my Jeep herd a little.

Price is $1800 OBO

Email or Call 912-980-7811 anytime!”
